Well, turns out that when I dropped the build plate a few weeks ago, it DID damage the LCD. Great big nasty dead spot on the screen affecting my prints.

Gonna have to get a replacement sorted soon. I can kinda navigate around it for now, but ugh.

Feeling like a right idiot.

Set a print up overnight, it finished, this morning woke up and went to remove the buildplate but dropped it into the vat...

Ended up piercing the FEP, thankfully neither the prints nor the screen were damaged.

Having some issues printing some cylinders on the Photon. Using Elegoo Green Transparent resin.

The layers seem to shift and break apart. Could this be down to suction?

Sliced using Anycubic slicer, settings are:

0.05 Layer Thickness

Exposure time: 12s

Off time: 1s

Bottom exposure: 70s

Bottom layers: 8

What settings do you all use on ChiTuBox to avoid deep scarring? My current settings are leading to deep holes no matter how carefully I attempt to remove them and the supports.

So I have an unusual problem using Chitubox vs the stock slicer.

I'm modelling some grenade pins; the pin hoop itself can be rotated in the hole.

When printed with the Photon slicer, the pins come out fine - the handles can move freely after supports are removed, and that's that.

But if I print the same model in Chitubox, the handle becomes fused inside the hole! I'm using the exact same settings for the resin as the stock slicer, and there is no support material present inside the handle hole.

Very strange.

Don't you just love the anticipation of waiting to see if it's printing correctly? :P

Got a bust going right now, and have had one or two problems with printing. It's low enough that I can't see into the vat if anything's stuck to the build plate.

Any ideas why this is happening?

2 hour print, and not everything stuck to the supports OR the plate. Had to scrape it off the FEP after draining.

Sliced in ChiTuBox using default settings, and an Anycubic Orange resin.

Recently re-levelled using paper method, could pull out with friction but not push back in. LCD operating fine from what I can see.

Printed this Proxy from Dirty Bomb on my Photon at 0.5mm. There was one issue with a line on her face, but she came out pretty well.

The mount she's on was printed on my Prusa Mk3S. Unfortunately she's not completely flat on the bottom so she doesnt sit flush.

Does anybody know of a decent resin (UK available) that, once cured, has the same effect as obsidian or black glass?

Looking to try make some faux obsidian statues. Full black doesn't look too good, need something that's slightly see-through or shiny.

First time using the Anycubic Clear resin; after curing, it came out yellow >.<

Was hoping for crystal clear, but hey lessons learnt.
