4 hours?! You may be underexposing that a lot.

Oksana Shevchenko
2020-03-30 13:50:23

Yessik Ziiq no. This resin works for it. I didn't support the feathers

Herman Simpson
2020-03-30 13:50:34

salvageable. place a piece of tape on the back wing and put a thin layer of resin down to fill the gap. harden under UV. Wont be perfect but at least it will have personality.

Oksana Shevchenko
2020-03-30 13:50:56

Herman Simpson omg you're right!!! I'm clear coating it after

Yessik Ziiq
2020-03-30 13:50:59

Oksana Shevchenko What resin are you using, that seems so low, even translucent resins I find take 6-10 seconds.

Tucker Harris
2020-03-30 13:51:02

That looks good to me, looking at the model in the link it seems like the wings are thin.

Hoghead Hoffer
2020-03-30 13:51:26

cut the wings off and u got a fine horse!

Hoghead Hoffer hahahahaha it's for a friend

Oksana Shevchenko
2020-03-30 13:53:32

Tucker Harris super thin and I had to shrink it a bit

Yessik Ziiq
2020-03-30 13:54:05

Oksana Shevchenko Ok that's a bit better, Does 2mm do the trick? I always just assumed there was a reason for the larger pull up distance.

Tucker Harris
2020-03-30 13:54:36

Oksana Shevchenko they look thin even on the page. Maybe try increasing your exposure time a little bit.

Oksana Shevchenko
2020-03-30 13:55:06

Yessik Ziiq well. That's what I'm experimenting with. This resin is really runny. So it doesn't need at much time to fill back in underneath?

Ryan Tudor
2020-03-30 14:03:52

Interesting. I also defaulted high to 4.5mm I think. Is this resin you're using more liquid-y or viscous?

Kevin Rouviere

Someone said even though they say 20 days they are still getting them within a week. I ordered one today so I’ll let you know if it arrives in the next few days.

Nathaniel Cooper
2020-03-30 13:07:13

i placed an order for resin on the 24th and it hasn't been shown as shipped yet so we'll see, they do keep updating the shipping estime to be sooner though, so who knows

Dean Guinn

I was actually talking to anycubic on messenger like an hour ago. My grey I ordered on the 24th hasn't had anything happen with it. They said they are out of stock on it, won't restock till early April but shouldn't take long once that is stock. This is from anycubic though, not Amazon.

Zakkari Clark
2020-03-30 13:39:50

I mean at this point I'll take any kind of resin if it's quality.
I just have my settings perfected with gray.

No problems printing a thin item on the build plate. Go that down to a science..

Curing on the other hand, totally different story. It warps every time I put it in my light box...

Any suggestions?

Jason Pedersen
2020-03-30 12:33:51

Cure both sides equally, the resin shrinks a little bit as it cures. A rotating platform or mirror help.

Michael Alexander Caddick
2020-03-30 12:39:19

Jason Pedersen I use a rotating jewellery stand under a plastic plant pot lined with 5m of UV leds. A couple of minutes number that and the cutting is done, and lightly suntanned lol

Jason Pedersen
2020-03-30 12:41:37

Michael Alexander Caddick easy setup, it sounds. Been toying with building something so I'm less reliant on the AZ sun, for consistencies sake.

Yessik Ziiq
2020-03-30 12:49:29

You could also try curing in water, I find it speeds up the process and helps with a whole variety of things.

Scott Pavlich
2020-03-30 13:00:33

Cure it in water...it’s the way of ensuring a good even cure and prevents warping

Evan Boone
2020-03-30 13:15:56

place the thin object on a bit of glass. place another, heavier object on your print to keep it flat. aim a uv lamp up from under the glass. flip it after the one side is done curing and repeat for the other.

Oksana Shevchenko
2020-03-30 13:23:36

Cure it on the plate

Tom Howley
2020-03-30 13:33:09

when I have that problem I put the item into the sink and then add hand hot water for a few moments. I can then drain the water and push the warped item onto the flat bottom of the sink as the hot water makes the print more malleable.

Rob Prince
2020-03-30 15:01:12

Thank you all for your suggestions. I have an idea at least what to try.

3d printed this model. Didn't have the proper colors to paint Samus, so I used that I have on hand because social distancing.

Any suggestions? I'm at a loss on that other colors to use and on how to continue.

Stephen Mitchell
2020-03-30 11:56:09

so i paint miniatures as context, first thing it looks like your using citadel contrast, you need a primer for them, i suggest going with army painter or ak interactive (best one is their airbrush primer, grab an iwata neo gravity feed airbrush from ho bby lobby and an air brush compressor from harbour freight) get a white base coat as thats what it is desgined for. for her blue zero suit i would prime that part black then do a paint called stormhost silver, a super bright silver. take either calth blue candy or talssar blue and apply that thinned out in layers, until the right look is achieved. an airbrush helps a lot with this. for her outer armor i would do another layer of stormhost silver and then try an orange contrast paint. her blaster would just leave gunmetal. and add some detailing in the recesses with clath blue. her hair i would prime white then do wither seraphim sepia or a yellow contrast paint with highlights. her skin is tricky. for a kinda fair skin i would do a thinned out layer of reikland fleshshade and highlight with a fair skin tone like pallid wytch flesh

Tim Parks
2020-03-30 12:42:01

An air brush isn’t necessary, although I love mine.

Are all of you paints contrast? If you have normal paint, and all of the primary colors (Red, Yellow, Blue) as well as a black and white for brightness, then you can get any color you want with mixin g. Then you can finish the model without needing to break isolation.

You could probably mix contrast paint too, but I’m not very experienced with it. I have two pots of it, but it was just because I wanted to try it.

Look up a color wheel with help mixing paints. A quick tip, gradually add new colors. Mixing too many pigments will quickly become brown.

Eleni Galatea Stamos
2020-03-30 12:53:59

I have all the contrast paints and they mix very well! I'll even water down and add normal dropper paint if I need to.

Andy Turtle Consiglio
2020-03-30 13:07:18

Pretty much. I have basic wraithbone paint and brown paint but everything else is contrast

Also thank you for the , input!

Yeah those kind of things you want to raise up off the print bed and use supports for. Check out 3dprintingPro on YouTube.

Brendan Wood
2020-03-30 11:22:21

The sound is fine and nothing to worry about. It's good because it means the print has successfully pulled off from the FRP. The alternative is a failed print due to adhesion and that sucks.

Óttar Freyr Einarsson
2020-03-30 11:36:52

Hollow on the inside and put a vent hole on the bottom of the print so it can't get any suction.

Mine rarely pops.

原文網址 Martin Martinez
2020-03-30 10:41:19

Does anybody know why this is happening when using Monocure? Seems to occur on longer print times. Its not a leveling issue as it builds up after a couple of hours into the print

Thomas McConnell
2020-03-30 10:43:59

Never had this issue. Used 10l of it

Dave Smith
2020-03-30 10:44:17

Looks like light bleed

Martin Martinez
2020-03-30 10:49:08

Dave Smith is there any solution to that?

Dave Smith
2020-03-30 10:49:40

Martin Martinez tends to be a indicator that your screen is going out

Emre Güneş
2020-03-30 10:50:04

ı thınk bed level problem

Cesar Gil
2020-03-30 11:00:50

Brendan Wood
2020-03-30 11:03:45

Increase the Base exposure time in whatever program you are using to slice. It could be that the bottom layers aren't sticking to the build plate enough.

Martin Martinez
2020-03-30 11:41:11

nah, these are building up on non print areas.Starts printing fine and builds up, seems light is bleeding out

Brendan Wood
2020-03-30 11:42:21

Gotcha. Looks just like a pancake from a much more common problem. Gotta say what's wrong even with a picture lol

Jaco Norchie Nortje
2020-03-30 12:10:20

Scott Pavlich
2020-03-30 12:22:17

Is that left behind but you are still getting a print? Most likely your screen is dying

Martin Martinez
2020-03-30 12:56:25

Scott Pavlich yea getting left behind and still getting a print (crap print). Seems like yes, screen about to go

Scott Pavlich
2020-03-30 13:12:47

Martin Martinez Yep....it’s not a leveling issue that’s for sure. Every time one of my photons has that problem I know it’s time to replace the screen

I have question with PrusaSlicer for auto support. I used Prusa Slicer auto support and auto orientation for several times but always failed (like support not connected to the model). This time, with 100% density, I only got 2 support. Is it safe?

Robert Small
2020-03-30 10:13:25

They make a resin slicer?

Reggie Grahita Adhyatmaka Djatni
2020-03-30 10:13:53

They use 1 slicer for their FDM and resin machine.

Robert Small
2020-03-30 10:14:28

Well all I can tell you is not to auto support! And then you may be able to change the contact size and depth.

Stefan Ritchie
2020-03-30 10:15:33

Whack the density up to 200%

Reggie Grahita Adhyatmaka Djatni
2020-03-30 10:15:57

I understand what are you saying. But I want know why some people can print perfectly with only PrusaSlicer's auto orientation and auto support lol

Reggie Grahita Adhyatmaka Djatni
2020-03-30 10:16:18

still the same ?

Reggie Grahita Adhyatmaka Djatni
2020-03-30 10:18:12

Chitubox auto support gave me this

Stefan Ritchie
2020-03-30 10:18:40

Sometimes I add the following steps...
Export from Prusa with supports
Import into Chitubox
Go into the supports tab
Set to raise the model 0mm
Set the density low
Generate extra supports in Chitubox

Basically, double up, but keep Prusa's orientation and stuff, because that seems pretty reliable

Robert Small
2020-03-30 10:25:19

Reggie Grahita Adhyatmaka Djatni
2020-03-30 10:33:18

What do you do about the raft?

Mark Wardle
2020-03-30 11:14:34

this would fail. the lowest supports are to small. in the support section top right corner Z-height lift or something like that default is 5 set it to 7 or 8 then redo the supports.

Mark Wardle
2020-03-30 11:15:04

same with the prusa slicer you need to raise the model of the bed more so it can form the minimum support length.

Stefan Ritchie
2020-03-30 13:35:19

Reggie Grahita Adhyatmaka Djatnika I usually leave it. I like the little angled lip it gives... makes it easier to remove the print

Reggie Grahita Adhyatmaka Djatni
2020-03-30 13:42:51

Just finished printing. Just as you said, the bottom section was failed

Reggie Grahita Adhyatmaka Djatni
2020-03-30 13:45:56

How do I raise the model in prusa? Everytime I tried to move it to z axis, it return the the plate

EDIT: Never mind, found it

Mark Wardle
2020-03-30 13:59:09

what was it. as i cant remember and i am sure me and others would like to know :)

Kerry Emery
2020-03-30 14:09:25

Cannot fully see the part but something like that would surely print straight off build plate

Reggie Grahita Adhyatmaka Djatni
2020-03-30 14:16:56

In print settings, you go to support section and turn off the "pad around object" to be able to edit the object elevation below it.

Reggie Grahita Adhyatmaka Djatni
2020-03-30 14:19:20

The part is like this
