Hey hive mind. I am having troubles determining settings with the resin XP test. Got 2 original photons which have slight different quirks.

I’ve read a lot and watches a lot but struggle with it still. For me 6 looks ok but the circles are slight elongated so not perfectly formed. But then by 8 when circles are perfect round negative space is filling in.

I’m undecided on column 6,7 or 8 on either of these at 0.03 layer height.

Hey guys, am I right in thinking that I could warm this bump up and smooth it out/press it in? It’s the bottom of a base for a large model, which I hollowed so don’t really want to sand it flat if I can help it. Also what do people do to add weight to their model bases?

Hello hive mind, does anyone know why chitubox is not allowing any kind of supports to be placed inside the model? I've hollowed it to 2mm walls (same as other parts) but this one won't let me place anything at all on the inside

Hi guys. I’m wondering what causes this, not sure what to call it.. webbing? Most is pretty flimsy but the big chunk in the middle is about 3mm thick. Is this from light spill? If so how do you get around it?

Hey gang, so I’m having a problem with anycubic black resin. I’m trying to print these models 4 to a plate. In the grey they work no problem, but this black. I’ve had 1 successfully print so far and that was bowed and then shrank a lot on cure (ipa, water then cure in sunlight)

I’m using the standard settings off the google sheet, model is hollow, printing direct on plate. Running firmware to v4.2.19. I’ve levelled the plate and got perfect prints in grey and smaller black ones direct on plate.

I want to avoid supports if possible to keep resin usage down. Anyone got any ideas.

Has anyone else found the spectrum app to be a bit flakey? I just replaced my fep, holding it in hand and tapping it got 250hz, 314hz and 500hz consistently. No results really in between, so I’ve plumbed for the constant 314hz result. Is that normal for it to move in blocks?

hey hive mind, I am debating updating firmware so i can get anti alias on my photon. Everything I have found seemd to be from august or earlier. Is it just a case of bunging the new firmware 4.2.19 on printer then ticking the anti alias box in chitubox (he asks naively)? thanks in advance :-)

Hey guys looking for some advise. I am going to build my printer a sound deadening case (it’s loud and sits behind me in study in a corner and directs all the sound right at me). I just wanted to know if a usb extension cable would work ok so I don’t need to leave tonnes of space to the side. I was thinking of a bell jar kid of set up so I can easily open up door.
