Continue to love this printer. Finally have a character for my Blood Ravens Space Marines! Gabriel Angelos! Still needs some cleaning and a couple of things need work but really impressed to create a whole miniature and have him ready to paint!

Hello everyone and thanks for the invite to join. I'm posting my experience with the Photon I received 3 days ago. Sadly, my printer cannot complete basic functions successfully. The printer shutdown 15 minutes into the test print included with the Anycubic USB thumb drive. I retried the test print and the printer shutdown again at 1% completion into the print. From this point on, the printer has experienced random shutdown and reboots for almost every basic test I’ve run - UV Detection, moving the Z axis manually, and reading the USB drive. Anycubic technical support has been very responsive and helpful. They’ve given me a number of troubleshooting steps to perform to help isolate root cause. We’ve been working together for 3 days now but still have not solved the problem. Here are the things we’ve done:

- Measure power supply voltage to validate consistent 12VDC output
- Change USB drive; reformat; only load 1 file
- Plug USB drive direct into motherboard
- Update printer firmware
- Measure LED driver board 12VDC input and 25VDC output voltage
- Execute UV Detection tool without LED power applied

Based on troubleshooting thus far, I suspect the motherboard is faulty. I cannot isolate root cause further without schematics and/or engineering data. There's a few posts here with issues similar to what I'm experiencing. I appreciate everyone's commitment to sharing. If anyone has thoughts/suggestions, please let me know!

So I should be getting my photon next week, but I am wondering what should I use for software to assist in my prints. I was told to download Meshmixer and I have the Photon slicer already installed. Any other software or tips to get me ready for next week. This will be my first 3D printer.

Problem?
Seems my screen is emitting UV over the whole FEP even on smaller prints which causes a thin film of resin to cover the full FEP area of the screen. Any ideas

Hey, I 3D printed yet another custom keycap for my keyboard. This time using the logo from a video game called Dirty Bomb.
I printed in Anycubic Yellow, then painted with PlastiKote black gloss. Then lightly sanded only the top surface allowing the light to pass through here. The keyboard backlight is white only, no RGB control, all of the colour is created by the resin.

Also added photos of the unpainted and unsanded stages.

Why is the bottom middle of my mini prints always soft and mushy?
Do I need to increase bottom exposure?
Or perhaps cure it for a longer time?

Next time you worried because something lifted from your platform and you want to throw your machine off a cliff.. spare a thought for us poor machinists that have to dry run our code with a hand hovering over the emergency stop in case those last few degrees were the ones that were going to crash your $3k spindle into a machine tool and kill it....

I've successfully converted my screened porch into a winter-resistant workshop. At the lowest temperature so far outdoors of 29F, my porch dropped to a low of 58. How cold can it be and still get a successful print if I want to save energy on heat?
