Hello everyone. I've ordered a photon which should be here tomorrrow. I was looking for a resin in purple but can't find anything. Is it possible to color your own resin with some kind of colorant? Or mix a red and a blue ?

Something to share with the group. I've not had a failed print in ages (using Monocure Rapid Grey). Today however , 3 hours into a 7 hour print, I noticed that the base layers had peeled from the plate and ruined the print.
As it was a long print, I obviously topped up the resin to quite a high level. As this resin was very deep and very thick (and cold) I think this caused the print to be peeled from the bed with the suction effect.
I immediately stopped the print, removed the messed up print, cleaned the bed, topped up the resin and re-started the print.
I noticed that the resin was a lot warmer and the viscosity a lot thinner.
It's now 3 hours in to the same print, and all is good, with no peeling from the bed.
So I think , in my opinion, the depth of the resin, the temperature and hence the viscosity can all contribute to the chance of a failed print.
Just my two penneth.

Has anyone been having problems with the photon slicer? I click auto supports and the loading bar finishes, then nothing happens and it freezes and crashes. only dose it a some files and they used to work too.

Anyone having difficulties with the file validator? I have this file which keeps on loading but it never finishes. I have tried a couple different exports.

I'm about to start setting up my Photon near a window in my office (covered in a box to block light - it's the only place I have to put it). I made the little vent cover thing and have some dryer tubing I'm going to rout up the window as well as a little air purifier I was going to leave in the box with the printer. I was wondering if you guys thought that was enough to keep working in the office while using the printer or if I should try and find somewhere else to work/keep my cat while the thing is running. Or if there's anything else you'd suggest to do to encapsulate the thing while I'm setting stuff up.

While i was trying to print this, saw that the model is bending in the base, how can i fix this? Is the first time im printing clear resin, maybe are my settings

Hey guys,
I have see your incredible designer cases for the photon and i wanted to share mine :)
I used this shelf from IKEA and add some led inside to have more light (no effect on the resin ), it give a nice effect to my previous prints on the top.
The next steps are to open a hole on the bottom to make it easier to pass the cables and add the extraction system for the fan :)

Hey guys, I got a question regarding the PhotoCentric Daylight Resin. We bought one of their first printers (the 10“ model) and also a lot of resin with it. We had a lot problems with it, so the resin has not been used. Now, as we got our Photon, the question came up whether we are able to print the Daylight Resins with it? Their UV-resins can be used with the Photon. Thanks!
