Hello, just got the Photon and have spent more time hacking together a ventilated cabinet than I have printing anything ? Finally printed a test of one of my old models though (larger grey one is an old shapeways order). The back is really wrecked up from the supports...Gotta learn to set those up better. Test file printed great though after one failure from setting the Z home too high.

If anyone has some good videos on people setting up supports for characters with a lot of overhangs please share! I wanted to print a human character model but the slicer and mesh mixer both wouldn't let me add supports everywhere that was needed.

Hi all my printer been down for about a month due to a bust screen, got one on ebay and then broke it getting it in. Now I got another one however I just realised that its a wanhao d7 screen. Is it comparable or is there something else wrong? Thanks

Hello guys!! I'm having trouble printing my parts. I can not identify. But they are always in the last layers.
I do not know if it is the weight of the piece on an average suprte, or if I placed the base of the holder on top of each other, temperature. I'll post the photos here for you to take a look at.

So I got my photon at the start of the week and posted about a dent in the build plate, got some varied feedback but never had a chance to do anything with the printer due to life until tonight, prior to putting the build plate on I notice this square mark on the screen. Thinking it was just dust or something that had fallen onto the screen I grabbed a cloth and tried to wipe it off only to find it is in fact a group of small scratches. I've emailed the seller I purchased the printer off about whether I return it or they send me a new screen, but I'm hesitant to print anything incase they want the whole unit back. Any thoughts on where this will go from here?

Hey guys, I've been having trouble printing this model so thought I'd ask for some advice on oreintation.
Based on my results so far I have picked the oreintation below.
I've also included photos of my last print which resulted in the bottom the model's arm becoming flattened out on the under side. Unfortunately I don't have the oreintation saved for that model.

Looks like a successful first print. Curing it now and I'll hit with some primer soon to really check it out.

Printed my first model with the Anycubic Clear resin and I'm really happy with the result! ? ? however, I noticed that when it was on the buildplate the model was more see trough than after cleaning and curing..

How do you keep your clear printed models as clear as when they are just printed? And what kind of primer would you use if you want to keep the "glass" look of it?
