Hey guys, first time on here. Just got my printer about a week or so ago, did a few prints no problem. Now i had my first fail, and i noticed these bumps... Is it time to change the film?

Hi all, just joined the group. I'm interested in the printer, but the only place I have space for it is in the garage, where operating temps would vary widely throughout the year, as low as 40f to upwards of 100f in the summer (5c - 37c). I'd say avg. though is around 65-75f. Is this a workable situation? Anyone in a similar boat??

Hi Photonsters, a question about the Nema 17 Photon stepper motor: how long is the lead screw ? I ordered via AliExpress a replacement motor for Photon, but the one arrived have a too long screw more than the one inside the printer....

I saw a few people mention using natural rubber for their molds and/or that silicone would warp the resin from the anycubic. Does anyone have experience with this?

My plan was to get an anycubic in the next few weeks so I could make in-house masters for assorted small objects that I'd cast multiples of later, but I was planning on using silicone for those molds. I'm wondering if I need to rethink those plans. Thanks!

I've had the Photon four days and printed 7 things. No failures. Amazing printer. Wish I had bought it earlier.

Testing with FTD-industrial red. Print looks ok, 0,05; used 12 as a normal layer. Height from the bail to the paw is 28mm. The red smells just as much as the green resin does, but at least it's not any worse. I'm going to be making a vulcanized mold tomorrow and see how well it keeps it's shape. With Anicubic green, the print deformed if silicone was used, so had to use natural rubber instead...such a stinky stuff. Surrounded by stinky things ? I'll recreate the test and start with silicone and hope it works.

Happy Sunday all and no this isn't a scale model of the Photon.

Rather it is a memory from my childhood. One of those old school toy vending machines (Gashapon - or so it's called in Japan).

Well so, still waiting for my motherboard to arrive so I can finally start printing... in the meantime gonna just share what I create for free.
