Build platform comes down silky smooth but when going up there's this awful resonating rhythmic grinding noise. Sounds like knocking. Vibrating this bad, obviously prints are plagued by Z banding.

Slider is tight on rails, lead screw freshly greased.

Anycubic support is non existent. Any and all advice welcome.

Edit update :

Diagnosis was that a combination of bent lead screw and rust on the slide block rollers caused the vibrations, noise and consequently the Z wobble.

Anycubic support has been less than wonderful, after a slow start getting a case logged, it improved and constant communications culminated in an agreement to send replacement parts. Finally received parts on October 10th, 5 weeks after the problem was first reported.

Unfortunately, the lead screw (Z rod) was too long for the Photon! To be continued...

Hello folks, my second day whit the photon, great machine.I have print in clear green and no failures... But I have try print in colour ( maroon) from anycubic and not stick at bed but always in the fep film I have changed setting anyone tips to avoid failures. The viscosity of the maroon different from the clear green.

Im getting decent prints out of the printer now. I mixed some Monocure Grey with the Anycubic green to use it all up. (I need some of the new flex resin!). I'll be cleaning this guy up and making molds from the prints to sell as garage kits. Pretty satisfied with the quality.

I noticed that the screws for the FEP were a little loose so I tightened them up. The next print I tried stuck to the FEP, and the one after stuck on the build plate one side but lifted on the other. I decided to re-level my bed using Flint Read method, locked it really tight, raised 0.3mm, reset Z=0, but then when I then try to raise in 10mm steps the stepper seems to skip as in the video. If I loosen the locking nut it will raise? Can't see how the two could be connected so a bit confused. Any idea why this might be happening?
