So after sharing my story and photos with Amy w/Anycubic, she gave me the same advice... loosen the screws on the step motor. So next dumb question I have is... where the hell is the step motor? Anyone have any pics that may help?

I’ve got to say, I’m really a bit irritated. I’ve wasted a ton of resin tying to figure this out and so far I don’t have a single successful print to show for my time and troubles. Meanwhile I have to be enthusiastic and nice, and not jealous when I see all the cool shit other people are printing that looks flawless...

So Ive been advised by Anycubic to loosen the Z motor screws 1/2 - 1 turns as a fix for Z Wobble. Are these the same screws i messed with for the Z Wobble fix? Or different? any tips, pics or info would be great, thanks!

Anyone had issues with the printer not remembering the homing position?

So I'm printing something right now and I checked on it about 40% of the way through and noticed a lot of vertical lines in the print which look like LCD resolution lines, as opposed to layer lines (black model sitting in vat mid-print in photo I attached). So I used the Photon Tool Master which visually takes the .photon file and builds it as the printer sees it. Guess what? The same lines in the print are in the attached screen shot of the .photon file I'm currently using. The model X axis is at 55 degrees and I rotated the Z axis 12 degrees so it fit better on the build platform.

So I decided to try and set the model up with the X axis at 55 degrees but *without* the Z axis rotation (so Z = 0). Guess what, the vertical lines are gone on the body (see screen cap attached called print2.jpg).

So with the LCD screen resolution being the more limiting factor in this printer (at least until anti-aliasing reduces the effect of the graphic resolution) it turns out that if you have flat surfaces I'm guessing you need the flat surfaces Z axis oriented 90 degrees to the X and Y? I need to do more testing on this, but this would be a big help in maximizing quality.

Is this just new to me as I'm newer here?

Hello all I know next to nothing about 3d printing so I am lurking in groups trying to learn and decide which printer is right for me. I want to make d&d minis but I looked on thingiverse and saw some wonderful dice trays and cups and towers. So my question is this. The photon doesn't have a very wide build are could you make an item in pieces and then glue it together? I know you can glue play but resin seems a different beast and most groups have suggest resin for minis. Also if you have a stl file you have downloaded is it possible to use whatever program comes with photon to cut it into small enough pieces that the photon can make. Sorry for all the noon questions.
