*Update 3, anycubic refused to give me any support. I have no choice but to take their offer to pay 1/3 of the price for new printer . Paid RMB900 for new printer and another RMB 500 for shipping . ... I really don't think anycubic is a honest company to deal with when to to support. I cheer their photon for 1month bcos it print so well, but after 1Month everything went wrong.

Anycubic support fail. This is not a mainboard replacement, but a display ribbon cable. This won’t fix my z-axis motor. Part of me wonders if I’ll ever print anything ever again ?

I just received my Anycubic Photon printer from Amazon today. This is my first dlp/resin printer but I own several FDM printers and have about 7 years experience with them. I fear that I may have a defective Photon. The build platform will not slide all the way on the arm so the mating surfaces are flush. There is about 1/8" gap when i put the build platform on. I have wiggled and wiggled but it refuses to go on any more than shown. As you can see in the photo, the recess on the arm where the hold down screw would go is also about 1/8" off. Is this ok, or does it really need to fully slide on the arm?

I am continuing my like/hate relationship with Monocure Rapid Grey. Has anyone else found that almost ANY post curing turns the resin from grey to a green tint? Previous prints have gone green after only a few minutes under my 36w UV lights. I just left a extra piece of support/base material in the sun for less than 2 minutes and the exposed side went green. I have also found that even after post curing the models are more 'soft' and flexible than say the Anycubic Green. The pics shows a fresh printed base vs a model cured for maybe 2-3 minutes.

Mac software stable?

So I am really close to ordering a printer (thank's to lots of info here) and I thought I would go download the Mac software and take it for a dry run. While it seems to work I constantly got the error shown in the attachment and I am wondering if anybody here is using it on Mac and if it's working OK?

Quick question. I just got my Photon and I love it. The problem I am having is with the supports. First, how do you stop it from generating supports on the inside of a hollow model? Second, how do you add supports? I see the little green line that appears, but when I click nothing happens.

Hey, I purchased a CR10 Mini and love it, but there are some limitations which are leading me toward possibly adding a Photon.

I can't find any prints of warships such as Bismarck or Missouri. These have lots of overhangs: masts, superstructure, gun barrels, etc. They also have lots of horizontal flat surfaces (turrets, decks, etc.) that come out pretty heavily "lined" in FDM.

How would the Photon do on such models? Would they require tons of support structure, and if so, how easily and cleanly can that be removed? Thanks!
