Thanks for the add guys, first time owning a 3D Printer and just got mine yesterday. Trying my first test prints right now. Hope to learn alot in here, seems like a great community. Any beginners tips I should keep in mind? I see there's a tips sections Im gonna check out but just thought I's start a conversation.

Today is Sand Day

This resin has good detail and works well with exposure times between 14 ~ 20sec, again giving a good margin of error or flexibility to the user.
After doing a series of tests with this resin, I come to the conclusion that it is not worth choosing resolutions less than 0.04 ~ 0.05mm
The details are very similar and at resolution of 0.025 time is lost because of the thinness of the layers.

I'm interested if anyone knows of a good Canadian source for these. Amazon Canada is charging 1200 CAD for it. Even adjusting for a 15% customs fee and 27% exchange rate increase. They're still jacking up the price 500 CAD which is ridiculous.

Hello everyone!
I got my Photon last week, and the prints with the AnyCubic Green resin turned out great (except for one, but that way my fault). It is my first DLP printer, with my other one being an FDM I bought last September. That is to say, I'm somewhat experienced, but still pretty new.
It's a tad hard to get AnyCubic Green here, though, so I ordered a litre of Druckwege D in grey. After confirming that you cannot use the same settings as for the AnyCubic Green (duh), I've run into a roadstop, as even using the recommended settings in the GoogleDoc don't produce anything resembling usable results.
What happens is that raft and supports (at least mostly for the latter) print out fine, and on the build plate, but the actual print is stuck to the FEP in the vat, and utterly flat as a consequence (one attempt had some weird stepped structure over a height of about 5 mm, although the print up until that point should just have been a flat rectangle).
So far I've tried playing with exposure times a little and I've re-zeroed the bed, as described in the manual (even though my first levelling seems to have been sufficient for AnyCubic Green). I've also thoroughly cleaned and degreased the build plate. I read that some people roughen up the build plate a little, but that's one step further than I'm willing to take at this point, and it also doesn't gel with the raft and supports printing fine.
I've also made sure to thoroughly shake the resin before pouring it into the raft.
It doesn't seem to matter whether the model is hollow or not.

I've noticed that Druckwege D is significantly less viscous. Lacking a frame of reference beyond the AnyCubic, I wonder if that's normal and a possible issue? Mainly conjecture, I expect the viscosity is at it should be.

Also, somewhat related: I ordered a sample Druckwege's flexible resin along with D Grey. Has anyone here have any experience with that?

So. My prints were coming out great. But the last 3 prints came out similar to this. The base layers started peeling. What could this be caused from? Need to re-0 the Z axis maybe???? Using monocure gunmetal Gray.

This tiny UPS (without ground) is on sale. Can anyone say if this would be effective at smoothing out the electricity for the Photon?

The Photon power supply doesn't need the ground, but I wasn't 100% sure it would do appropriate surge protection, or boost the voltage if it ever dropped.
