Here's my resin test looks like no.6 has about the minimum exposure with good cut out features bit reasonable protrusion and no.10 has very good protrusion but not quite as good negative features?

Hi mates

I have a friend who asked me to print a few miniatures. How did you calculate how much pay for the work with our Photons?

Anyone ever seen this before? It's hard to tell from the photo, but it looks like loose, liquid resin clung to the print and then cured on top of it. The print was done with the printer placed inside a closed cabinet, on a shaded porch. At most, there may have been a minimal light leak from a tiny seam in the cabinet, and any light leaking in would have been ambient, not direct. Is that enough to cure the resin and cause this problem? Or could this be something else?

Need advice. Order my photon through anycubic AliExpress store last week. Since last Monday Fedex tracking info showed shipment info sent to FedEx . Today it is giving me this status . What is going on ? Any idea guys? BTW I payed extra 10$ to ship the sample resin separately with three 500 ml resins I ordered from them in order to avoid any issues at customs so it's just the printer status.

Just curious-

Why did you take the plunge and get your Photon? I got mine to supplement my model builds and to make items that you can't get a kit for, or the only option is way over priced (and often poor quality) garage kits. I've also had some very bad experiences with a few after market parts vendors that have major attitudes towards us... their customers! I've placed orders, had my money taken and then had to fight for months to get my parts. No more! Now I print my own!

Eventually when I learn the software and learn to scan things, I will be able to print anything I need or can dream up!

I have now been using the Photon for a few days, and I have some questions that have come up. I will mainly be using it for agricultural scale models, and during testing I have experienced some shrinking that distorts the model after printing. This causes the model to bend and then crack on the outside of the curve. I have attached some pictures showing the problem. The supports were cut away after printing and curing in the sun for 3-4 min total. I turned the model several times trying to get an even cure.

Some info:
Resin: Fun To Do - Industrial Black
Exposure times: 10,5/6,5/50/8 (normal exposure/off-time/base exp/bottom layers)
Printing angle: Tilted approximately 35/35 degrees.

I have a theory that the front side of the model (inside of curve) has cured more than the backside (outside of curve). This would cause the front side to shrink more than the outside, and therefore causing the backside to crack. Am I on to something?

I have ordered an UV LED-strip for building a curing chamber, but haven't gotten it yet. This might make it better.

What can be done to prevent this in the future? Will it help to spray primer on it straight after printing, or leaving it in a dark place until I can apply primer? The models will be painted, so adding primer has to be done anyways.

Sorry for a long post, but hope I have explained it good enough. I have of course searched around for the problem, but there are many similar kind of problems, but still a bit different than mine, so therefore I ask here.
