I'm using the Photocenric UV/DLP high tensile resin. It's so far the first resin that deserves that name. However, I have a weird problem. While the gaps between objects indicate a slight overcure at 20s/layer, small details are virtually absent in the Harzlabs test pattern. Any ideas what's happening? I'm using the grey color.

Has been working good.
But the past few prints does this layer shift thing. its like it shifts? I don't know how to explain it will but here are the pics of what it is doing.
and YES i'm positive it is level. I have also made sure the lead screw was lubricated.
I thought it could be the fep film so I changed it and still get this layer shift?

What could cause a layer shift.?
Thanks

Almost forgot I ordered Joylit power supply... about oh a month ago? Still not here.. seems like it's being passed around in different locations. Eurgh, I've ordered many times from china before and it never took this long. And this is ordered via Amazon, blehh.

At least good news though. My stock PS has not been acting up lately... although I might have jinxed myself there.

Phew! I've been sweating my eyeballs out for the last couple of days, been pretty darn hot. Had a cast on monday, which was almost a complete disaster, am afraid. Made around 100 wax models and roughly 20 were successful :( The flasks were too cold.

Really have to think hard of what to wish for! Have noticed that the wishes tend to warp over time. I truly wished for these swans to be perfect and they were, but everything else went down the drain. Have to do the whole thing all over again. Yay! Had a good laugh about the whole wishes gone weird with hubby tho'. What if you wish to be born again as Paris Hilton, would you end up being Boris Milton, her forgotten toothless little cousin? Something to ponder about...

Anyway, real happy with the swan. Need to get those new waxes done asap. Summer is coming!

Here is a spectrum comparing the orange Plexiglass from Sascha Beez to the stock PMMA. It blocks completely at 405 and below, the little wiggle in the spectrum around 410 nm is artifactual (light source has almost no 405 nm light). Edit: to calm the nerves of the OCD patients among us, the coloring of the two traces was adjusted.

Finally got the threads to fit without post processing.

By reevaluating the resin settings with the Exposure finder tool i managed to extract the minimum distance between coupling parts to be 0.08mm, for the male thread it is perfect for the female thread I shall use a deeper compensation next time.

Good rule of thumb is to have the connecting gap between parts with at least 0.1mm (compensation of 0.05 on the male and female threads)

I've had to up the layer time by 2 seconds, from 10 to 12, and that leaves thinking that half the layer size does not lineary take half the time, i guess there is a minimum exposure time for a given resin to begin photinitiation.

I also change the escape holes to be around the part for better end part strenght.

In the smaller screw where i should have adde a extra hole near the thread beguinning, some resin got trapped and cured with scattered light from the other layers.

The reason that the part was failing in the trasition was a abrupt 90º transition, fixed by adding a 4º tapper to the flat face

Needs some love to make it smooth. But it dimensionally fits good.
