going to order the photon in the next few days. should i order extra fep sheets and resin on top of the one the comes with the printer, or will i be fine for a while with 250ml and 1 fep film?

My buddies & I play the "Magic the Gathering" card game. One of my decks generates a ton of "Servo creature tokens"... So naturally I modeled/printed these up... mostly to make them all jealous... totally worked ? (the container was printed on a Zortrax M200, resin used was 3DM- ABS)

I've had my Photon for just over a month now. Not my first Resin machine, but definitely my favorite overall now. From what I understand, each machine can vary slightly in strength of UV lamp, Filter & Screen... (*cheap* Chinese parts... how can you complain for 5 Benjis though, right?!) Anyway here is what I have had success with so far. All these Exposure times are based on .05mm. Though I have successfully used the Anycubic Green at .03mm, 6 sec. and the 3DM-ABS at .03mm, 16 sec.
I fear the Form-specific MakerJuice exposure may be astronomical (relatively speaking) so I've stopped testing that. Also, the Full Spectrum Pegasus Castable Blue resin is quite old... I didn't realize I still had it. It was their first formulation & from what I remember most people didn't have a lot of success with it, so they reformulated & their new stuff is green... So, you may not be able to find that stuff anywhere... HOWEVER the blue stuff works GREAT in my photon HAHA go fig...

For anyone interested I made a resin vat cover, for when you need to take the vat out in between prints for UV tests/ checking a file, etc. & still have resin in there... Its a loose fit. Just meant to keep dust/particulate out. I was using a scrap piece of ABS sheet... but then realized I'm far too civilized for dat shit... lol

So as I mentioned before, I bought my Photon last week from Anycubic as a used, open box return.

It was delivered last night and today I cleaned the mess the previous owner had left on the printer (he managed to get resin in places that honestly make no sense at all), set it up and started my first print ever with the machine...

... and this is what I got.

Four utterly perfect skeleton minis.

For the moment at least, I couldn't be happier with this thing.
