Hello people! My projects are getting too small and detailed for my FDM printer, so was looking to order a Photon in the next few weeks. But having a small room (but plenty of ventilation) has really got me thinking about the awful resin smell everyone talks about. Does it continue to be bad during printing or only when the bottle is opened to pour the resin?

Just out of curiosity will forgetting to shake the resin bottle the first time upset the ratios for the remainder of the bottle?

I'm looking to get a 2nd DLP printer. I have the D7 with Box and read about the Photon. Software - it seems that the Photon is using a version of the ChiTu slicer but no where in the Photon software can I find a way to change the bottom cure times, lift speed, etc... How do you do this? I'd like to get a better understanding of the software options before I buy. In addition, there's a GDoc with resin profiles but are these stored in the software or where you do you edit the times per resin by resolution? Thanks!

Anyone know of a really pretty translucent red resin?

I tried the Monocure Rapid Red, hoping it would be like their gorgeous Rapid Blue, but it's opaque instead. The color is fine, but it's not nearly as pretty.

hi everyone!! here's a successful print that the photon made. followed Flint 's leveling method and the setting was: 0.04 / 9 / 1.5 / 60 / 8. overall height is about 4.6 inches.
and by the way, is it safe to use a metal scraper for the build plate?

Taking a break from resin to finish current prints... finally fired up the cr10s4 to make some lamps. I guess i can buy those light bulb sockets but i wanted to do wireless version, anyone know what I can use to light it up? Has anyone printed these moons yet?

First prints! Sculpted the monk from D3 as a gift for a friend. Figure it was a good test.

Had a failure on the first one. Mesh mixer supports. Default settings.
Second one was a 13 exposure and photon supports.
Think my room might have been too cold, had an open window with a fan to suck out the smell.
About 3.5 hours.
