Hi everyone, I'm doing my research before spending the money on a photon. I have a couple of noob questions.

1. How often do you need to replace your FEP film

2. Is there a water washable resin available?

3. If I was printing 28mm models roughly how many would I be able to print from a 500ml bottle of resin?

4. I'm a complete beginner with 3d modeling, is the a good easy 3d modelling program that can work to milimeter scale and output .STL files ( or do I need to learn several programs)- any recommendations or links to tutorials gratefully received. My use will be mostly printing upgrade parts for action figures to be painted with acrylic paints.

I am trying even smaller prints (about 3.5 cm tall) with really small supports in MM. The results are outstanding.

I was running a test to see if my plate was flat. And I forgot about the layer compression. So now I have some saggy chests lol.

Hey everyone! I was scrolling down for a while and didn't see anything specifically. I know we have The Great Spreadsheet of cure times. but would love to see what peoples favorite Resins so far are!

What are your setting for meshmixer supports? I tried some but the support ended up :
- stucked to the model
- not properly supporting the model.

Alright, so I finally got this thing to print. But the supports in the back end failed (pictures in the comments). Its really cool seeing something I designed myself printed out. Even though the back end is messed up, I think I will paint it up anyway. My biggest worry was the stalks, but they came out fairly decent and the supports did a good job there. Learned quite a bit in the process of trying to get this thing to print. Many more prints to come! :D

Why do I get unknown file format when using the ChiTu slicer on my printer? It has worked before. But now for any reason, it will not use .cbddlp anymore.
