Sort of Mini review of my prints and time with my photon
Well my free anycubic resin is now out, that was the bottle that came with the printer. My last print to test a new thicker support was "Ed"
Had my printer for 3 weeks now, and its the best thing i have brought. I do have a loft room just for painting my figures with a window with a Pc. I will say the smell of this resin is minor for me, and does not effect me, and the window is open just a few inches. I cover my printer if the blind is not down to stop any UV getting in just in case.
The models below are the ones i made with the 250ml resin. I think 2 doors failed, a x wing did not print and a support error with a T-fighter also. The problems was fixed by me by leveling the plate again and using stronger contact points on the supports, i used thick ones on Ed.
I will be painting this up sometime in the next 2 weeks and i will start looking for some new resin, i`m based in the Uk, and the Fun to do seems cheap for a larger bottle. So maybe i try that.
I Need to learn how to hollow for when i get bigger models, and
Also i was thinking of slicing the arms off the 3d models, and working on how to attach them at different angels, i wish to try this with my heroforge Borg figure. and then reprint them in different poses.
Last i like to lean out to take a 3d model out of a computer game and print it out. My interests are X-com, startrek online (ships only, but i think you cannot get them from this game ? ) and a game called Earthfall for its aliens.
I have got the software B9 creator, Meshmixer, Zbrush, ninja ripper and Unity. But not knowledge how to use them. But its great to learn new things, and this summer i look forward to it.
Its been great using this printer and look for forward to its future. I just want to say what a lovely bunch of kind people in the group. A real family.
