Has anyone attempted to temperature control the resin vat? I'm fighting to establish a good printing "environment" that satisfies two conflicting requirements. Good ventilation and maintaining a high enough temperature for the resin to cure well. My basement is cold so I print inside a cardboard box with a heating pad. If I open my basement window I will have cold air pouring into the basement. Since the vat has a large thermal mass (big chunk of aluminum) it should be pretty easy to regulate the resin temperature by active heating of the vat.

Bottom of my tank broke during print and the resing got under the protective cover and onto the 2K screen, any tips on how to clean it? Or should I just bite the bullet and replace it?

Having some thought to buy a SLA or DLP as a complement to my two FFF printers.
After about a week here i started to wonder.......
In history of time, have it ever been printed something useful or is the Photon just a machine to produce small human/monsters/animals that 99.99% downloaded the file for?

In light of all the recent posts about both odor and safety of fumes, I'd like to see about getting a filtration system. My concerns are mostly cost and lack of tools (no drill for instance, no power tools beyond a small basic Dremel). Anyone willing to share their air filtration set ups? I'd love to see them and hear how easy/difficult it was to set up/create.

so,

I went to see a doc since the dizziness still presumes after 3 days. This is not a post to scare people, but to remind what you are dealing with, when printing with toxic resins.

First of all it's clear that I have a poisoning and it's from the anycubic green resin fumes. I used respirator which keeps me safe from toxic vapors, fumes and particles. I used nitrile gloves and safety goggles. I had 2 windows open next to the printer and balcony door open in the living room. The point is, I still stayed in the house and the fumes spread all over and I live in the house so couldn't really escape.

The resin fumes stick to the textiles of your house and all the materials that they get in contact with. So even if you think you have cleaned all of the resin, it still will be present (or the fume molecules or whatever). When you go to sleep your sheets have it, you might contaminate your food etc.

In most cases people will be ok with this (for sometime or maybe very long time) but some of us might be allergic or otherwise sensitive to these toxic materials. There's no warnings in the bottle about the fact that you might have allergy to some of the components used in the resin, and you might get a serious reaction.

so... before you buy one to your dorm room or a small space where other people / animals live, think thrice... or maybe more. As said, these are not really ment for home use.

The doc also said that in time the resin toxic materials will gather into your system (cumulative effect) and it will never leave there. And even if the resin doesn't smell, it will still be as harmful as the smelling ones.

So... get an enclosure and good filters. Don't use the machine in the same living area you or your family live. Also, wash the clothes you use after you are done. The chemicals will stick to them. Also the doc mentioned asbestos etc. chemicals (like some of you have mentioned here) and said that there's no studies / evidence what might happen in the long term using of these resins. And he said also that it's definitely not enough if you have your window open...

so... now will need to figure out a nice enclosure and filtering system, to be able to continue to use the awesome printer!
