After going nearly 24 hrs resin-less, finding not one order you expected in the mail but TWO!!!! The one that was due yesterday AND the one that was due tomorrow. As a plus they are all different colors!!!

My Heroforge Ragnar support removal was like surgery. Couldn't get it all, but not too terrible. Re-printing with a bit less support and more strategically placed.

I only got to working with more intricate models today because I had to make a couple hundred of those fishing lures for someone.

I just had a thought and was curious if anyone has more knowledge about this than I do:

I remember seeing a TED talk by the creator of the Carbon3D technology. (Link: https://www.ted.com/…/joe_desimone_what_if_3d_printing_was_… ) He mentions using a gas-permeable membrane to inhibit curing of the resin in a very thin layer above the surface of what amounts to the FEP sheet.

There are some medical companies that mass-produce gas-permeable films (though most are adhesive, but clearly the ability to make optically clear, gas-permeable films exists). I wonder if one could replace the standard FEP with a gas-permeable film to minimize suction and improve longevity?

It may be a moot point since this would be highly dependent on the composition of the resin (I know Carbon3D is pouring a lot of energy into the engineering of their resins). But maybe it's worth experimenting with? The real trick will be finding a non-adhesive, gas-permeable clear film.
