How do you clean out the last bits of resin from the vat? when i use kitchentowel it just smears. can i use IPA for cleaning the foil?

Looking forward to getting a photon soon...my quick question is.... people say resin smells bad. what part of the process is the smelly part... the printing, the washing, the uv curing etc... thanks

Just finished replacing the fans on my Photon. Getting access is a bit of a nuisance - make sure you take the time to strip the machine properly if you are doing it, don't waste time trying to work around the touchpad, light tunnel and mainboard etc - just disconnect the ribbon cables where appropriate.

For reference, I have replaced the 5cm chamber fan and 6cm underside fan with a pair of 12V Gelint Silents (a 5 and a 6). These are 3 wire PC fans, but you just wire in the positive and negatives as per the stock fans and ignore the control wire.

This has made my anycubic massively quieter when running :) The fans are running full speed when on, so some more noise reduction could be achieved with an inline resister I reckon - at the cost of air flow. (I haven't bothered).

One thing to watch out for - the underside fan only spins when the UV lights are running - I was worried I had a dud fan or had miswired it until I realised this :)

If you go for the Gelints, you either need longer screws or need to leave the fan guard off for the chamber fan. The underside fan fits fine btw (for those concerned with the width of it fouling on the heatsink).

Just got a shipping notice that my Photon will be delivered tomorrow. Got mine from 3dprintersbay. While there were a few issues with time before the printer went out, and communication issues, they surprised me as they shipped it a day or 2 ago and will have it tomorrow. I live in Fort Worth Texas and it’s coming from China.

Help me! I'm surrounded by pink things and glitter! Shopping for a nail cure and I find this quite hilarious as I know that my husband is going to laugh himself to an early grave (he's a blacksmith) and my hands are not far behind from being the "before" from any beauty commercials. Ok, so my question is, does it have to be an uv-light? Or does LED work too, as long as it's in the 405nm spectrum?

Got my printer Tuesday...
Been printing since Wednesday...
Its such a relief to be able to spend my time adjusting the models and not the printer.
I dont find this to be very messy nor extremely smelly. And the quality and detail is totally worth the time per print. Still working on the 250ml green that came with the printer @ .04mm
Plan to prime these once I have the set done and then hand print.
Any tips out there?
