Sorry for all the questions... one more question for now...

I ordered some UV light strips from AliExpress and they wont be here for awhile. I am supposed to get the photon soon. So the only option of curing them is to put them outside in the sun.

My question is... How long do you let them cure in the sun? Also, is the best way to cure them in the sun, to put them in a container with water and put that outside? How about on a windowsill?

What are people using as a UV light source in cure boxes?? Would a black light cure the resin?

First results from tests with Ameralabs resin:

Resin: Ameralabs AMD 3 LED
Room temperature: 14 ºC
Smell: less or equal to Anycubic green

Sample A: 0.050, 10, 2, 50, 8
Sample B: 0.040, 5, 1, 50, 8
Sample C: 0.025, 3, 1, 40, 8

These 3 tests alow me to have a starting point to further tests. Next I'll fine tune better all settings.

With sample A i've achieved better definition than FTD Industrial blend, i was very happy with that, because now i have two very good resins to work in Photon.

Resin is very viscosity, but very easy to clean with IPA.

Be careful, UV cure should not be very strong or parts will deform, 3 times 4 minutes each side in nails oven and parts stay almost stiff.
I think natural light is the better cure.

Best settings will go to our spreadsheet, tomorrow i'll order one bigger bottle and continue to do more tests.

I have a question. On the D7 forum I see lots of people talking about masks. I have a very basic and probably inaccurate idea of what they are or do. Could someone here post a link to an explanation or give a brief explanation? It looks like it is partially software driven. The D7 seems to allow it to be calibrated. Is this something we should be concerned with with the Photon? Do we have the ability to calibrate it on the Photon? Any info would be greatly appreciated and I think will help the community here to discuss it on this forum.

Random question time.

To those who sell, prototype or print for profit. How do you price out a job with the photon?

I own a bronze art casting foundry and am thinking about offering 3D printing services. Because who doesn't need their favorite mini, Millenium Falcon or various skulls in bronze, aluminum or silver? lol
