Allow me to relate the first experience with my new Photon, which ended about one hour ago.
I leveled the build platform using Flint Read's recommendations - trapping the paper sheet between the screen and the platform rather tightly, and then backing off 0.1mm and then doing the z=0 thing.
Loaded the vat, tightened it in, poured the Anycubic green resin up to the 1/3 filled line.
Tried to print a small model I sliced and downloaded to the usb drive, but it would not start. I noticed that the square on the display was outlined in red, which means the file is flawed. Started printing the sample lattice cube instead.
Bumped the table the Photon was placed on two times during the 6 hour print, once at about 20% finished and again at 60% finished.
Getting anxious to set up the post-processing operation, I bumped the table rather hard. The print stopped at 91% and I could not figure out how to restart it, if it could to begin with.
Shut the printer off and removed the build plate and took it to the IPA container. Could not scrape the base of the model off the build plate with the plastic scraper. I did manage to scrape the lattice cube off of it's base, however. The base is still welded to the build plate as I type. The 90% finished lattice structure looked just fine but the "photon" banner trapped inside the cube was flawed.
I am blaming myself for not being more careful moving around the printer, but the way the model base is stuck to the build plate suggests that my z=0 setting is too close.
And looking in the vat at the bottom, there is a lot of resin stuck to the fep.
