I printed some lithophanes yesterday as part of some Christmas gifts (used http://3dp.rocks/lithophane/ to generate the models). The plan was to make a cube-shaped desk lamp for my parents using a the first four images (my parents, my own, and my siblings’ families). But I didn’t get the frame of the lamp made in time...

The last one is for some good friends who just added a daughter to their family a couple of weeks ago.

I finally finished my sister’s birthday and Christmas gift tonight. It was my first time painting a model I’ve printed but it came out pretty decent overall. It almost isn’t obvious that I broke one of its wings in the process and had to repair it... ?

I printed the other validation print tonight and it came out real nice overall. I am having an odd issue where thin skins of cured resin are showing up the in vat though. They seem to be random shapes but pretty much focused to the center area of the vat. Looks like I have some troubleshooting to do...

I just ran the Resin Exposure test for the first time and am a little confused as to which negative space details I should be focusing on. I can’t decide if this means that the sweet spot is 12s, 14s, 16s... Advice? Thanks!

I made an easy/cheap light box from some leftover chloroplast (often used for yard signs) and small mirrors from a craft store. As far as I can tell, it works well so far! I also started some testing with printing rings for future casting. ?

Well, Clank needs some repairs (his right arm didn’t print), but I’m quite happy with the quality of my first print! I have cleanup to do on the support contact points tomorrow and then have to decide if I’ll prime/seal him up after that. There’s quite a learning curve but this printer is really neat!
