Hi,
I recently got this wonderful machine but having big trouble with bed leveling. I am following the steps mentioned in the AnyCubic Photon Manual to level the bed:
1. On LCD screen: TOOLS > MOVE Z > HOME > Wait until the build platform reaches HOME.
2. Put an A4 sheet on the LCD screen and lower the build platform by 0.1 mm until there is enough resistance between the build platform and paper.
3. Level the build platform and tighten it with Allen wrench.
4. Check again for resistance between build platform and paper.
5. Press the BACK button and then TOOLS > Z=0 > Select 'Yes' in the popup window (There is no feedback after selecting the Yes e.g. beep but the popup windows goes away).
Now when I start a print the build platform goes to Z HOME, stops and then descends further but doesn't stop at Z=0 but smashes on the LCD screen. It has happened 6 times. I shutdown the printer with main power off as soon as build platform hits the LCD. I am surprised the screen has still survived.
I think the core problem is Z=0 height is not getting stored properly. It always goes down further than the position where I set the Z=0. I am doing all of this on a dry run i.e. I am starting the print without the vat. I have tried it with sample print file provided by AnyCubic and few of my own files which have worked very well on FDM 3D printer. The firmware version on printer is 4.1.0_LCD.
Has anyone faced such issue or have an idea how to tackle this!! Any help is much appreciated.
