Monocure Rapid Flex 100:
I still love this stuff!!! I do wonder how hydroscopic it is. I haven’t noticed any degradation with the bottle that I have, and I live in a fairly humid environment.
I wonder if I should be storing the bottle in the same container I keep my FDM printer filaments with desiccant?
Any rep from Monocure care to field this question?

Also, because I (&probably others) use this Flex100 in a 15%-30% dilution with normal resins, do you think it would be a good sales/marketing move to offer 100ml or 250ml volumes of this particular resin?

Below is a dilution of 25% Flex in Anycubic black of the Flex I achieve after printing a tabletop model for a friend of mine.

Monocure Rapid Flex 100 : flexing and breaking parts!!!!
Now that I have your attention, I love adding this Flex 100 to my resins. ( I am not affiliated with Monocure or Anycubic. I’m like you, bought these with my own money, also my opinions cannot be bought )

I posted a while ago about how much I should be using in dilutions and also about exposure time.
I’m happy to say that after testing 10,15,20,25,30,40,50% by weight MC Flex with Anycubic black I have some definitive results.

15% Monocure Rapid Flex 100 is just right to achieve an almost Polystyrene durometer.
This makes models more durable and resilient without compromising surface finish and with minimal warping.

These are a couple of images of a prototype part out of the printer, cleaned off, and cured.
The video is where I break stuff!!!

Aloha & enjoy.

Does anyone have successful settings for Monocure Rapid Flex 100?
I’m going to mix this in different percentages with Monocure rapid and Anycubic black and white.

I checked the spreadsheet, there’s no mention of Monocure rapid Flex 100.

So, I’ve purchased my second photon. The first one I got was flawless. Already well set up, I leveled the build plate, set the Z=0 home position, checked the LCD to verify that it worked fine, updated the firmware, and that printer has been running well ever since.

This 2nd printer, I received today. I performed incoming inspection before admitting it into my lab to sit down the bench from a FDM printer and across the way from a 5-axis mill.

This new printer wouldn’t accept a new home position no matter what I did... until I pulled it apart and realized that the Z carriage was originally installed upside-down, this forces the metal blade used for homing further down (or holding the Z carriage higher than required). I flipped it over and after adjusting the little set screw positioned the blade perfectly. Assembled the printer and all is well.

In this rambling, the take-away is that the QC card is worth less than you might think & that mechanics can be fixed or adjusted as needed.

Hello all. I am new to this group, so please forgive me if this has been asked before.

I should be receiving my Photon printer today.

For incoming inspection I know to check the Z axis mounting, bearings, and fitment for any kind of backlash / wobble.

Also to check and clean both sides of the LCD, FEP film and UV reflector so there are no dust particles on any of them that could cause defraction of the light.

Once done I will level the bed.

Are there any other incoming inspection processes that need to be performed before running this printer?

Thank you all & Aloha ??
Brian
