Chitubox scaling...??
First it seemed a z-axis distortion, but not.
Check the attached images, the left model is sliced with Chitu, the right is sliced with Anycubic's software. Both are printed with the same Photon, 5 bottoms at 55sec, normals at 18sec, layering: 0.05mm, Anycubic white resin.
When working with Chitubox, In both x and y, the print is scaled up by a factor of about 5%, and the z size stays at its original, I have given at the cad sw. This effect is not seen on the Chitubox's srceen, I have checked the scaling, if it has been set to anything else than 1.
Then I have realised the error can be fixed If I set the print area to the same as in the native Anycubic-slicer. My chitu settings was just 5% larger but in all three directions.
So how large is exactly the printing area of the Photon??
The softvare I've downloaded from anycubic is set to 68.04 x 120.96 x 150 mm
This is very interesting why chitobox is scaling the model If the print area is not set correctly, and why in only x and y, and not in z. I would think If a wrong size is set, it results a smaller area than the actual, or results a clipping if oversized.
Have you ever experienced similar with Chitu?
