Along with possibly picking up an ultrasonic cleaner I'm thinking about trying some simple green or similar cleaner in place of IPA. For those who have used something like this: Does it cloud up as it gets saturated (i.e. is it easy to tell if it's time to change it out), and how do you dispose of it? With IPA I put it into a container in the sun, let the resin separate and solidify, then filter & re-use the leftover IPA. Does this work with the cleaners as well?

I’m totally new and using Mr. Clean in an ultrasonic cleaner and wondering about disposal as well. I’m interested to hear what others have to say ?

Is there a favorite go-to ultrasonic cleaner with a good mix of size/price/durability? I've been thinking about getting one for a while but there are large numbers of models to choose from on Amazon.

B. Durability

Pick one.

I went a different route and bought an ultrasonic portable washing machine puck. Then you just toss it in the container of your choice. I have had it sitting in ipa for months with no negative effects. https://www.walmart.ca/....../Peahefy....../PRD77IWSS2WD2KO

Interesting, didn't know those existed.

I went with this one except the price was lower.

I was wondering if those worked well or not.

I have that one but I got it on eBay for about $50 a little over a week ago.

Time to change my FEP but three of the screws aren't budging and have become partially stripped. The next size allen wrench up won't fit. Any suggestions on a) getting them out, and b) finding individual replacement screws?

Has anybody tried printing texture rollers like these upright and right on the build plate? Seems like the supports needed for any other orientation would make it difficult to preserve the textures.

I'm on about week 4 of Photon downtime. First the LCD sprouted dark spots and had to be replaced. After I swapped in the new one, the front screen didn't respond to touch. I think I probably pinched the cable when putting the case back together & went to Anycubic's site to look for a replacement cable, but they didn't list one. I opened a support ticket to ask if a cable could be purchased separate from the touch screen assembly, and they were nice enough to send me a replacement cable and screen even though I specifically stated the problem was of my own making.

So the new parts arrived today and I started off by swapping out the cable.

No display at all.

Swapped out the front screen.

No display at all.

Tried the old cable on both displays.

Nothing.

I'm not sure what's going on at this point. The mainboard still beeps when it's powered on, so there's _something_ going on there, but I'm not really sure what to try next.

Do the replacement LCDs from Anycubic tend to have a plastic cover on the shiny underside that needs removing? It _looks_ like there's a little white tab in one corner as if it's there so something can be peeled away, but it also looks like the tab _might_ be attached to part of the actual screen :p

<Sigh> replaced my spotted LCD and it looks like I pinched the ribbon cable for the front panel as I closed up the case, because the display is there but it won't respond to touch anymore :p

I have a new LCD on the way and this morning I pulled out the old one so everything would be ready to install the new. I noticed when I lifted up the old screen that there's some kind of black adhesive gunk (I assume the remains of some kind of double-sided tape) around the edges that formerly held the screen in place. Some of it came up and some of it stayed in place - should I be scraping it all out under the assumption that the new one will have the same material on it, or do I need to worry about finding some sort of replacement for this material? The couple of videos I've seen about changing the LCD don't mention this at all.

So I'm already trying to position prints around dark spots (not entirely successfully as shown by the hole in the manticore's wing). But what new problem might be the cause of this particular monstrosity?

Started consistently getting holes in my prints all the way through, in the same few spots each time. FEP was clean, so I pulled out the vat, cleaned the plate glass to make sure it was smooth and clean, and then ran the UV test. How screwed am I at this point? :p
