More adventures in printing! So new work area is all setup but it's still way too cold to print, best I can get atm is 70F and it takes a lot of work to get it that high. That's in an open air area with a 1500W and 800W(it's what I had laying around). I've got a hydroponic enclosure coming tomorrow that I'm hoping will help heavily reduce the volume air I have heat this way and keep my work space a little cleaner. I'm also working on building the heater linked several times on this group but as a few have mentioned I'm looking at adding thermal protection to the device via a thermal fuse so that's stalled atm till I can figure out how to electric more better.

Moving this week, hope to finally get my print area setup in a nice and tidy fashion. Any suggestions on material to place under the printer work area? Something hopefully easy to clean and reasonably solid, the only work surface I have atm is a black plastic shelving with holes in it and I really need something to go on top of it.

Testing with Siraya Tech Blu clear this weekend. First print out this morning at 16s per layer looks good but I think I can push it down to 13 or 14s. Will run some other tests and post pictures after I process them. So far no yellowing at 16s, does frost after IPA which isn't usual so it'll require some sanding and polishing to get it clear again before coating.

Printing question for the group. I'm helping a friend out that's restoring old WWII army equipment, he's got a piece that needs replacing and I offered to print it with Blu. Problem is I'm going to have to make it two pieces to fit it on the photon. This piece is about 7.25"(184mm) long, 4.25"(108mm) and maybe 0.25"(6mm) thick. Is it better to print it at an angle with a ton of support or just two vertical pieces in the same print(or as two prints to reduce stress). As far as I understand I should be able to use the liquid resin to bound the to pieces together and still retain most of the strength Blu normally has but I don't have any experience with this. Thanks everyone.

Just wanted to thank everyone for putting out all the info in this group. Thanks to all the info here I've been able to make successful prints all but the first time I fired up the photon no matter what resin I've used I've found a solution here.

Printer just came in yesterday, this is my second print on it, some support issues but those should be easy to clear up. Love this thing.
