I've learned a lot from this group since joining but I've not really come across this in my travels... On the last two prints I've had a layer of resin 'film' form in random spots of the build. It's perfectly horizontal where it touches the model/supports but obviously very thin and wavy where unsupported.
There's nothing floating around in the vat; just what's stuck to the model. I've checked the files again in ChiTuBox and the Validator so I'm pretty sure there isn't a random block of pixels in the file.
I'm also using a memory stick that I consider to be reliable (at least, not the one that came with it the photon).
I didn't pause the print, or even look at it while it was running.
What do we think? Could this be an early sign of LCD failure? Some sort of driver fault?
On the two prints the patches are in difference places - one about 8mm off the build plate between several parts (see image preview) and across the top of some shorter parts (not pictured, sorry) the other took the form of just two little rectangular stubs attached to the base of the supports on two separate models... I'm confused.
Apart from this the only failures I've had to date have been use error. You input would be much appreciated.
