Hey y'all, I'm new to resin printing and I've only done 1 print so far, but I've come it of it with 2 questions. The first.
1. Should the cured resin smell at all? Or is that indicative that it isn't cured.
2. I noticed that in the side of my model (i printed a miniature) that faces the build plate, the details are a little goopy, regardless of whether or not there was a support there. The front, side facing the vat, had excellent detail. I manually supported the whole thing and thankfully, had no small islands fall off.
Do you think question two is because I am using a clear resin (esun standard clear) and the side facing the build plate has more total radiation that passes through it sure to the clear nature of the resin? Or is it a cure time/slice (7 sec/ .05mm). Minds you that the front (vat side) looks really nice.
It's most noticable around the back of neck, middle of back and butt areas.
Thanks in advance!
