They really need a glass window on vat so can see if sticking to plate before gets to 50% ;)

My first failed print (only my third print) massive layer shift on the model. But just wanted to say how great the quality of this little printer is. Next to the fdm printed model this is a different league.

This is the first print on my photon and also with a resin printer, it's a sculpt that I sculpted completely in zbrush. I coated the head with Mr surfacer primer grey 1500 and the bust and the base with duplicolor primer grey

This looks like it can go straight to the printer and print straight up no?

How long does everyone keep their resin in the vat after printing? I only ask cause cleaning up every print is going to get old fast haha. Can a person keep it in there for a week or more? Can you just add new to the existing?

Note: I have the Epax X1.....not sure if that makes a difference.

Thank you

Alright everyone, please excuse my tiny rant that is about to come.

On the daily do I read posts and comments by users in this group and other groups, stating that certain issues, topics or methods "will always be there", "cannot be solved", "will always be like this" or "cannot be done". Be it supports that won't leave pock marks, intial layers without horizontal expansion, printing parts that need a lot of strength, printing perfectly transparent parts, adding glittering dye to resin or tuning the printer to do certain things and unlock features, to name a few. I know these comments are with no ill intent, but in a community that is mostly about empowering each other's ideas and literally making things, I feel like regularly seeing this "pessimism" and the construction of these mental borders is slowly killing me on the inside. You all literally have a machine standing somewhere near you, that creates objects out of virtually nothing! A little, affordable, miracle box that turns whatever you imagine into a real life object. This is unbelievable! Getting to this point took decades of innovation and the realization of numerous ideas that "could not be done".

So if I have a plea for you all here, then be it that please, let us all keep an open mind about innovation that can come from this community in improving our machines, prints, methods and workflow. "It cannot be done" is something I wish to no longer be reading in the comments here, I hope we can all come together on this.

Thanks for reading my short rant, I will now regain control of myself again.

so after much heartache, and much getting help from this amazing group, my printer seems to be back on its game!

this model wasn't all that great but the ship and stand both came out pretty decent!

Thank you for everyone who gave input and helped me figuring what I was screwing up, lol.

After many failed attempts finally got this stupid thing to print. Was pretty good feeling when I cut the base up and the nut moved freely! Now to see how small down it can scale.
