Hello guys,

I've been trying to print some dice for a game (gaslands) but for now, I'm unsuccessful.

The one on the left was printed with supports, the one on the right was not.

Issue on the right : first 8 layer were 90s cured, so overcooked, ruined the details

Issue on the left : First layer is not flat ... I don't understand why ?

Issue on both, we can still see some layers a lot.

How do you manage to print this kind of stuff ? With 45° angle ? I tried this also, but was not able to get it stick to it's support, so nothing printed.

Does it make any difference if you let the IPA dry off of a part or not before you put it in UV to cure it?

Low budget fume extraction...

I brought some ducting from eBay, used the box and a bit of card to make the connector, and hooked it to the extractor fan in my En-suite.

Luckily my Landlady had a pretty powerful fan built into the En-suite so it handles the extra length of pipe pretty well. Despite all the air gaps in my bodged adapters you can still feel slught suction at the printer end.

Been using this for a few weeks, it keeps the smell a lot lower but not completely gone.

Started my first print on the photon, the test cube.

About 50pct through, i started noticing the printed portion of the cube shaking slightly whenever it goes in and out of the vat.

Seems to have a weak joint at the part where the cube corner connects to the base.

What could be wrong?

-Printed the photon file as is (didn't make any changes)

What could be the issue?
- levelled my bed too tightly? (I used a thin paper and it was snug)
- my base is not levelled truly flat?
- I didn't realise I needed to shake the resin bottle
- what else?

I stopped the print and hope to make some changes before trying again.

Any suggestions specifically what I should change before I try again...

Appreciate any help!
