I have my Photon since a few weeks. I didn't have time to run loads of test prints, just a few and I experienced some rather annoying defects. Having worked with a Form2 in the past, I inclined my parts as I am used to. As you can see, there seem to be layer shifts in the early stages of the print and some supports are either completely or partially missing.

The parts were printed with Anycubic green, 0,05mm layer height, 8 bottom layers, 80 sec bottom exposure time, 7,5 sec exposure time (if I remember correctly), 1,5 sec off time.

I have now ordered some Phrozen ABS like Gray; for the files I have prepared to be printed with this resin, I have raised the exposure time to 12 sec as I am planning to print some larger parts before trying to get those I have already printed once again. I have positioned the parts I'd like to print more vertically now.

I know the Photon resin settings list on google ( https://docs.google.com/…/1crvzMnt_8NJXAsABinoIhcOjE8…/edit… ) - I'd be very grate ful for any tips or hints to improve the quality of my prints. Thanks in advance! :)

A little stymied by this part. I want to just print it vertically with support on the tabs, but then I think angled with a bunch of support...

Should probably sanded him before putting primer. Monocure Rapid Gray.

Small scale prototype print of a larger piece I'm putting together, printed with Beta resin I'm testing on the Photon - @ 9sec @ .05mm.
Cleaned with ResinAway and coated with clear gloss.

Ok. I had some early successes, that I shared last week (model train engine side frames). Since then it has been a night mare. Practically if a whole new can of grey an all I got we globs, literally. So today I set about finding what is wrong.

Every screw on the machine was loose. The worse we the Z alignment screw. I'm supposed the head didn't just fall off on the soup.

Everything is back together and a print is being run. I'll let you know.

Something happened at assembly where things didn't get tightened.

So I lost one of my laser tubes on my Necron models I was assembling. Took out my trusty micrometer and FreeCAD'd me a replacement. Looked so good I replaced all of them

I'm using.
Monocure rapid white.
Layer .05mm
Time-14
Off time-1
Bottom- 60
Layers-5.
Right from the spread sheet.
So the problem is this. Printer about a week out of box. Had about 6 successful prints.
Then it all went bad.(see pic)
First there was a shift in the print,fail.
Then I lost top 20mm of print, fail
Then I lost top 45mm of print ,fail
Then nothing at all, total fail.
No errors. Film in vat is fine. I clean between every use. Projector is sending image I have seen it.
So I'm lost. What would cause a cascaded fail in this order??
