Another challenge the wife brought me. She has several # smartdoll and the maker posted a bust as a download. It wouldn't fit on the build plate as designed but after a few tweaks in zbrush and 7+ hours of printing this was the result. Printed in Anycubic Skin resin. This is the largest print I have attempted and the first try using the skin resin. Pretty happy with the result.

How long can the print sit in the printer after its done? Should it be taken out and processed as soon as possible? or can it stay in the printer overnight?

Finally got a chance to unbox and setup the Photon my son bought me for my birthday. After using Flint's levelling method the first print is underway.

I have to say, with all of the talk of resin printer smell I was expecting much worse. There is an odor, but it's certainly not a "drive me from the room" experience.

Still pushing out test prints of old sculptures. Once I get the hang of it i will upgrade to other resins, settings play, and newer models. These are all the default settings to the printer. Not at all a perfect print but they keep getting better and better. I was also trying to see what was the biggest I could on the printer.

Great news, we have hit the 5000 member mark! To mark this occasion, Anycubic asked me to select 20 people to randomly receive 500ml of resin. I use a random number generator to help me choose a word from the top 100 most used words. I then look up the user that used it, and there is my choice. So, there is randomness in there, but it also favors those that interact with the group.

Question, if I have to make two prints in a row, do I need to clean the print platform before remounting it for the second one? I mean, if I remove the print and immediatly mount the platform in the printer, is it ok?

I'm just full of problems this week!

I'll post some pictures in a bit to show what is happening, but basically I cannot get this part to print. I've had it close, but there is always an issue. Sometimes the supports failed in one area, Other times they seemed to hold, but the part is bowed/curved. I hollowed it because I figured it was the weight causing the issue and I still can't get a good print.

Any help on how to get this one printed and something I can do consistently? This may not be realistic, but I would like to print it solid (I have tons of resin) because it has a really nice weight to it which will help make the prop even better feeling when done.
