I've had my printer for quite some time now and it has only seen very light usage, this is an issue that cropped up a while ago and its baffleding me. The supports dont print or they dont stick to the base layer I put down, and its fairly consistent on where it fails. I dont believe it to be the printer itself but rather the resin (monoprice black) however I dont want to point fingers until I narrow it down. That being said has anyone had this issue with other resins.

I know someone here was experimenting with making lenses using clear resin but can't remember who.

Im wondering about making custom sunglasses. Has anyone thought of doing that or tried it?

I'm wondering if the lenses could be clearcoated and polished enough to have clear vision through. Also, whether you could then apply something like car window tint to the inside of it that may have UV protection and such.

Any thoughts?

Hi All, I recently fired up my photon after over a month of not using it. I have a PETG cover I printed for my resin vat while not in use. I left resin in the vat with the petg cover on it for over a month. Yesterday I printed with the month old resin and it worked perfectly fine, and the FEP sheet seems to be in just as good a shape as ever. I was previously emptying my vat after every use but now I'm not sure it's necessary with a cover. Has anyone had issues leaving the resin in the vat?

So I ran this calibration test a month ago and now my z axis wont move properly during a print. It moves properly in the menu screen but during a print the build plate will not raise enough to let another layer of resin in resulting in a print fail. I tried updating the firmware but it did not solve anything.
