Here we go! Finally got a the raspberry pi camera set up along with a station for post-processing. Starting newest print using monocure rapid grey for the first time. Recording and timelapse ongoing. So cool to be able to check progress from anywhere in the house!

So I've heard mixed messages about using pause. I've heard some say u always get a line around the print.. Others say if you pause it after the light turns off for a layer and the bed rises, that u catch it between layers and can raise the bed up to check the print, then resume and it will just go to the next layer like normal.

So to those who have experimented, does it matter at what time u pause it or will u always get that line?

My first (non test cube) print. Grabbed an old sculpt I made years ago with no intention of ever 3D printing and ran it through meshmixer and photon slicer. Outside of some damage from a fused support I tried to remove and a lost thumb due to my clumsy exacto knife skills I'm pretty satisfied with the detail!

So question.

In the past I used to use a web camera and a Wemo smart plug to power down my FDM printer when I saw long prints fail. Funny but sad story behind why but that’s for another day.

Now that I got this new bad boy DLP printer. I got a Wyze Home Security Camera. Because it has a magnetic bottom. I’m about to put a smart plugin this printer.

What is the risk of me just cutting off the power to the unit besides shorting out the unit out?
