I have an issue with my z-height setting. When I level the plate against the LCD and try to save this as the z=0 height, the dialog pops up on screen but when I touch YES, it does nothing. SHould it do something? How do I confirm the proper z-height when I start a print? Just hit print and it will automatically go to z=0 and then start? Hitting HOME I believe is the home height but NOT the z=0 height.

I am still having issues with my photon. A layer of resin cures on the fep during every print. Some prints come out okay whilst others are ruined by the layer of resin sticking to them.

The prints have been done overnight and I also have tried the orange window photon with the same results,so I don't think uv light leakage is the issue. I also tried replacing the lcd on my original photon without any luck. I have tried 4 bottles of resin. The green resin included had the least problems. I have also tried a bottle of anycubic black, it's worse than the green but not as bad as the white. I have tried two bottles of anycubic white ordered a month apart, the white is by far the worst. I have also replaced the fep a couple of times and it is always completely clear before I print.

I was getting tired of this so I ordered a new printer from amazon (the orange window model). I am having the exact same problem. I have no idea what is causing this issue and I don't see anyone else having these issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Testing small high resolution print at 50my. Also did a ultrasonic clean on one of them and the other one is just dipped in isopropanol. First picture it's the one to the left and the other two pictures it's the one to the right that is clean with ultrasonic cleaner. Small differences but enough to make it a lot more clear in the colors. last pcture is taken a better camera. Now you can see the X/Y resolution is more sacutrated then Z axis

Hi guys and gals.

Today I received a replacement LCD screen and I placed that in my printer with no struggles. The connection seems to click in and I used the old tape to hold it in place.

While working on that, I began wondering about the pyramid with the blue heatsink on the bottom.

What is the purpose of that? It seems as though it should have a light to project upwards. I looked for a bulb of some sort, but it just looks like an empty opening.

I'm wondering if I have more things to purchase to ensure this build works. Can anybody answer that?

So.. I've been meaning to ask this and will be ordering some new resin soon. What are the reasons people choose resins other than anycubic?

** I should mentioned I am in the US also. **

I don't see a difference as far as other resins being cheaper.. In fact it seems some are more expensive. So I'm just wondering what reasons people switch.

Less toxic?

The main one I see people talk about here is monocure rapid but I've seen a few others mentioned as well.

At this point I was planning on just staying with anycubic green since my stuff will be primed and painted, unless someone can convince me otherwise. :)

I will give it two more days and get a refund.

Does anyone have a little bit of the Anycubic green resin left over that they don't want? 1/4 of a vat's worth? literally the last few dribbles in your bottle?
