Planning to make a spoon mold (for injection molding) out of the supplied resin.

Will the resulting spoon be food safe?

(I know generally speaking resin is toxic and in itself shouldn’t be made into something that holds foods. If anyone knows of a resin that can be used in this printer for the purpose of injection molding that would be food safe please chime in)

Failure no 3.
I get to the printer this morning and its still exposing the layers as it should but the Z-axis isn't moving. So at the 'build' side the edges are all fat and squashed looking as the exposing kept going. There is nothing stuck to the FEP.
The only problem seems to be that the Z motor stopped moving. The Z-motor is fine as I can manually move the platform up and down.
So: Software? Bad USB?
Please help. This is a 12hr print down the drain.
I am amazed that it managed the little antennas but I don't recall signing up to be a beta tester.

My first print – well failure anyway so I need some guidance from the experts. I have watched the reviews, videos and setting up of the Photon. Leveled with a degree of stiffness suggested. Added supports for the print (mediums) both automatically and a few manual ones.

Layer thickness 0.05mm Normal Exposure 10 secs. Off time 6.5 secs. Bottom Exp 50 secs and 8 bottom layers.

What I ended up with is just the support bottoms widest part (bronze colour in the screen grab) and maybe a few layers of the print but nothing else. In addition, the print was stuck to the FEP and not the head! What gives?

Thanks for any help Chris

Here is my Fun Elephant stl file. You might want to hollow him out to save resin.

Hey guys, so I just finished my 2nd print and it went pretty good... Except I'm a little puzzled by these lines I am seeing. Please tell me this isn't z wobble!

It may be just normal layer lines, I'm not sure. I printed this at 0.05 and probably should have done 0.02 but didn't think I would see as many lines.

It may have also been the orientation? It was 45 degrees as you can see in the photo as I was taking the supports off... That's how it was printed. What do you guys think?

Weird thing is in my 1st print, the repeat figurine, I didn't see any lines at all and it was also 0.05 but I didn't slant it 45 degrees, printed it vertically.

This model has a slight curve to it. The back of it got it the worst, where all the supports were for some reason.

To the guys who were talking to me about using microfiber lens cloths for cleaning the FEP ( Vinicius Silva was one...) I may of misunderstood you.

You said using paper towels would scratch the fep so use those cloths instead when cleaning but I did that and now I have a lens cloth with uncured resin on it along with the alcohol I used. Now what? Do you wash it out somehow or throw it away?

I guess I didn't think about that before hand... :/
