hey gang my adventure into metal casting is coming closer and closer :) my Heraeus CLG seems to work my vacuum pump arrived today now only a burnout oven is missing and i had an idea :) i read that the burnout process does not seem to work perfect and the surface of the metal is not optimal so i thought why not dissolve it with solvent? anybody tried this? the problem will be to find one that don't dissolve the investment and that dont take a week :) HMMM any thoughts? :)

Bought a little solar turntable just to assure better coverage when post curing. When I turn on my UV light it automatically starts turning. It was $5.

Morning all, I’m looking for someone that does private printing, I have my own designs that I create and cast from.

Anyone out there UK preferred to save on postage able to quote me for printing these bits at all? I can send a couple of STL’s for pricing ideas.

I make UV lights using fluorescent bulbs for curing a special epoxy but they have the same power and wavelength as the low cost nail dryers (just industrial quality for thousand of hours of use a year) and so I thought I would test to see how well it cites the Photon green resin.

At 10 minutes the surface was not sticky but was pliable so I went 20 minutes total and it seemed cured so I pulled it out but found in the thickest area there was a small pocket of uncurled resin (see photo) as an educated guess I would think the thicker the part the longer and I will now be post curing for 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the thickness of my prints. I would rather over do it a bit than have a pocket of uncured resin inside.

Australian's looking to buy cheap IPA should check out these guys, I just got 5L 100% IPA for $25 with free fast delivery.
Was worried post office won't deliver this via mail but it came securely packaged, no leaks and quality container. Just plugging a good experience.

Soo can it print this ... I want a DLP for greater accuracy. However everyone that i have talked to who don't have SLA DLP printer say you can't print some thing this big 40mm OD Wheel cos it will warp ... (needs to be solid i say) ..what do you guys who own one think ?

So I did some searching through the group about cleaning the FEP.. Whether to use IPA or just soft tissue or microfiber cloth to clean it and it seems there is some debate about whether or not IPA is needed when cleaning the FEP and whether using IPA clouds the FEP.

U guys that have been doing this for a while, have you experimented with both methods and can you tell me, does IPA in fact cloud or damage the FEP?
