Hey folks -
ON the google doc:

Nobody seems to have used the black anycubic resin. Anyone have any experience with it?

Im attempting to export a obj as stl in meshmixer. In meshmixer the object appears very smooth. Whenever I export it becomes low poly. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

Looking at maybe getting a Photon for the express purpose of making miniatures at 6mm, I was wondering the level of detail that can be achieved with this printer and what the difficulties with printing that scale might be.

Also if anyone might have an estimate at costs for printing say 5 6mm infantry with resin might be id appreciate that.

So please post your thoughts or pictures related to.
thank you

Monocure Clear Resin and Anycubic green resin
Started to test a new technique and new product.
I used a resin spray bottole. It's better to use before curing, for parts with support after curing but need more time to dry and not give strenght as sprayed before curuing.
Colours and transparency of Parts well be same as liquid resin

Bluecast, makerjuice, photocentric or any other, which is the best resin for silver casting with smooth finish?? What are your recommendations??

I just tested anycubic dental green , the casting results are poor, surface finish is not good

We just broke 3,600 members! Way to go Photonsters! One of the common things we are often asked is " I bought resin ZZZ, what should the settings be?" or "I bought resin ZZZ, and the spreadsheet says I should use exposure X but it didn't work". So I thought I would share my workflow when I get a new resin.
1) I check the spreadsheet to see what others have had success at.
2) I then use that as a reference for where I expect the resin test to come in at. If you do not have the resin XP Finder, please follow this link to download it and follow the instructions. https://github.com/…/photon-resin-calibrat…/releases/tag/1.2
3) Next I print the Ameralabs Calibration in the center of the build plate. I adjust the exposure time up or down depending on the instructions on the website. Need the calibration or the instructions? go to: http://town.ameralabs.com/
4) If all is well so far, I move forward to my own creation to test the corners of the build plate by having a 1mm platform and 5 cubes of 4mm so I can make sure the outside corners are curing like the center. I adjust the cure time up or down to try to get a consistent measurement from all 5 cubes. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2997266/files

I hope this helps some of our members when they are tuning their new resins.

Ok so here’s my next question for you guys. I’m wanting to print a ring bit I don’t want to waste resin, so how do I figure out sizing before I print? All the advice I have gotten from this group had been outstanding so I know I’m in good hands. ?

Please someone reproduce this for validation!
Ameralabs water washable without cracks
************************

As you can read in the group photo album on ameralabs testing, this resin is fragile to solvents and cracks easily with IPA but it turn out that this apparent "issue" is what make it really easy to clean with water.

Just got miself a aldi 50w 600ml ultrassonic cleaner and printed this 9h model @10µ layer to test photon's max Z definition. The girl is 20mm tall.

First i did a single 180s cycle with just water and most resin cleared without even adding soap. Look at the back with the supports those are 0.2mm width supports and 0.2 cone tips.

Then did a second 180s cycle with hand soap enough to wash hands.

The supported model photo is the pre-cured version then i removed supports and did 30min post cure with a 35w nailspa

After that i filed the nibs and did a new cycle with clean water and a squirt of rubbing alcohol.

Great details and no unwanted cracks :P

----------------------------------------
If someone could validate this
----------------------------------------

Ameralabs may have cracked a water washable resin and they are selling it as a IPA washable resin without knowing.
