Hey everyone! The last two prints have cut off in the middle of the print. The first time got further than the second one. Any idea what might be happening? Thanks ahead of time!

I would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to this group and it's amazing community of Photonsters who are ever-helpful and ever-patient. My photon arrived today and with your help, I managed to get a successful first print.

Using the visualization tool, I set up a simple STL with a 3D cube. I rotated the cube 45 degrees on the X axis and 45 degrees on the Z axis in the Photon slicing software. I then saved the slice file in three separate files - .01, .03 and .05 layer heights. Then I took the .photon files and opened each one in the visualization tool and interestingly, the Photon slice software is creating different slice patterns for each layer height file. Technically, the slice file with .01 slices has the finest layer texture. Stair-stepping is more pronounced or larger in the other two layer heights. Click on the photos below to see larger images.

I have 2 quick questions. Can you start a new 3d print after finishing one, without cleaning the vat out (maybe adding some resin to it) or do you have to strain before starting a new print?

Also, what is the reason that the anycubic software told my my print would be 3 hours and it is taking over 5? The machine gave a different estimate than the software. Is there a way to make it more accurate?

Sculpted a Thanos bust in VR after watching Infinity War. Got my Photon two days ago and managed to print it out last night. I’m amazed at the results, and can’t wait to prime him to really see the details.

He feels solid, did I miss a parameter when slicing to make the print hollow, or is it something I need to do in my 3D modeling application?

Hi all, I just wanted to post and say how impressed with this printer and Printers of the kind. I wondered if printing such a thin thing was possible, I wasn’t surprised the small swimsuit collapsed under its weight but still that’s some incredible detail and thin walls!
