What grit has everyone used to sand their build plates? I imagine lots of passes with high grit, but how high before its not doing anything significant?

Since a question came up earlier when I was leveling, I wanted to take a pole of everyone and which leveling method you think is best for people doing it for the first time (straight out of the box.)

how do you know if print is actually sticking the 'bed' ? just have wait 3-4+ hours? I've tried to look in, but it still way too low to see anything.

So when I try to print something that has a very flat side like an armor plate or this part of a small tire. I'm getting a very unflat side. It's getting frustrating.

any advice?

Hey guys, I got my photon today and am in the process of trying to level using the flint method. I have to possibly issues.

1. The arm that holds the build plate doesn't look straight to me. If looking down, the arm seems to be slightly bent to the right. Once my build plate is close to the screen, it seems a little off center as seen in the photo. Is this normal or an issue?

2. While trying to level, as I step the motor down by 0.1mm trying to get it where it doesn't still move, it seems like it hits a point where it won't go any lower and doesn't seem to ever get to where it is tight against the fep.

It seems like the arm that holds the build plate is making contact with the edge of the vat and that keeps it from ever going low enough?

Im confused and could use to advice, hopefully it is just something I overlooked. The plate is nice and loose I and can freely move. Thanks.

I printed out a 1:160 scale businessman in a suit and tie. 0.02 layer height. The details that are possible with this printer are stunning!
