Query: how long should a firmware update take?

Can anyone recommend some good tutorials or FB groups in regard to preparing 3D scans prior to printing on the Photon?

I paid for some scanning and files of parts however there are holes in the meshes and internals have “extras” that need removal.

I have tried downloading Nettfab (free) and following a tutorial but cannot seem to use my mouse in NF.

Is there a maximum mesh count or file size that the Photon slicer can handle? When I import the scans into software, the parts are massive in size compared to the original scanned items.

I would really like to be able to scan and print items myself and realise it will take a while to learn - Silly me thought scanning for prints was an easy process ?

Help me buy this Printer! (Knowledge not money ? )

My wife has given me the green light to buy the printer but I have one problem to solve. The smell. My office (where my Prusa calls home) is adjacent to our nursery. I cannot have these fumes going into my sons room. I might be able move the printer into the basement but I can’t close it off from my curious cats. I’m assuming I can’t put it in my garage or shed as the temperature and humidity vary to greatly. What can I do to solve this concern of mine?

Also, any hints how I can vent/purify and not open a window come my Minnesota winters would be great.

Hello buddies.. I'm very impressive with this printer result,, but i have questions abut it
1. How the easy way to remove the support? (1st picture).. It seems very stick
2. Where does the artifacs (on the 2nd picture) come from? Looks like small buble wave..

So out of the blue I got some package from Anycubic in the mail. I've been so busy with having new flooring installed and a 9 month old I haven't had time to send support pics of the ribbon cable they sent me by mistake (instead of a new mainboard). I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume this cube-shaped box likely contains the actual mainboard they were originally supposed to send? I'm to tired take a chainsaw to the 1,000 layers of packing tape the box has been hermetically sealed in right now. I shall report back with my findings soon though!

New windows from Bradley VanScoyk came in today. What difference! I feel better about leaving the resin vat full already. Not to mention leaving the lights on in my laundry room while the printer is running.

Hey, guys. I have had my Photon for a few weeks. I burned through the sample green 250ml and then two 500ml bottles of Anycubic Grey. When using the green, I had to have the window open with a large fan blowing to keep the fumes down. Even with that, I was on the verge of a headache for most of the time. However, when using the grey I have been able to close the window and keep the fan off. Not even a hint of a headache. Has anyone else noticed that? I haven't seen this posted, so I thought I should bring it up in case it helps someone else as well.

I'm using my printer to make titan weapons for Warhammer 40,000! Let me know if you have any questions about them!
