I'll apologize ahead for my long ass post.
Just did my first print. Part success, part failure. I had 4 items on the tray, but only one of them completed. The other 3 were blocked when the resin decided to adhere itself to the bottom of the vat. I'm unclear to why that happened. I did the leveling correctly. I followed the print guide excel for the 0.20mm layer in anycube green resin (visible in one of the pictures). The angle of the parts could have been steeper but i wanted to make this a sub 3 hours print (which it wasn't...the slicer deceived me! :P ).
As for the part that printed, aside from the raft being warped, the part itself appears to be perfect. Detail-wise, it stands toe to toe with the $60K Stratasys we have at work (the painted printed part in the pic). Maybe just slightly less detail in the horizontal, but given the price difference, hey...fuhggedaboudit!
I'm also concerned about how to clean the vat and the platform. Between the user manual and Anycube's youtube video, i understand they use paper towels and IPA. I rather not use the IPA as it will fade the beautiful anodized blue (it did that on our black anodized tray on the stratasys, and that was a $2K replacement! O.O). Is using water alright? Is there a technique to not get those classic "windshield wiper streak" marks? And finally: how long can the resin stay in the vat?
I will be looking into getting the clear orange replacement panels asap.

Oh yeah, one last thing: if i want to maintain the resin's color but have a print be usable outdoor...how do i do that? From what i understand, over-curing will cause the prints to become too brittle?

Questions questions and more questions lol... I bet you guys are sorry you let me join :)

Okay... I have been doing basic prints (a lot of them) but I want to start doing what I got this for... custom stuff and larger props. I need to learn how to dissect an stl and remove sections so I can print something in pieces because the whole object is too big for the build area. I need to do some precision 'cuts' to take this one apart, that way when I glue it together there isn't a noticeable seam, or the seam is where there is a body panel line already so the seam won't be noticeable.

Meshmixer doesn't give me the precision and control I want/need. What software would work best for this and is relatively easy to learn?
