Any advise on printing this model? The bottom is 2mm thick, but the walls are 1mm at most places and 0.4mm at the edges. Nothing is unsupported in this orientation according to the slice preview.

I'm planning to test this with the included green resin, but eventually planning to print this in FTD Snow White.

Hi Guys.
This probably my fourth print. Overall I'm pretty happy with it. It looked a lot better once cleaned with DNA. I should have raised it more as it ended up too close to the raft. Anyway, my main query is about xy calibration. The diameter of the parts are about 0.2mm too big, and I assume this also makes the internal diameters 0.2mm too small. Z wise it is bang on. Do I just subtract 0.2mm from the settings in photon slicer?
The parts were drawn with fusion 360 using the 3D print on high refinement to create the .stl. Any help greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know why the layers of my test print look smashed together? Monocure rapid grey resin.

I tested the Madesolid Vorex resin and the Makerjuice SF red on the Photon. At 30s exposure time the prints virtually fail (40 um), the 60s baselayers are not hard enough. So these two resins can probably not be used at any reasonable speed in the photon. FunToDo Deep Black - on the other hand prints nicely at 50 µm 16s 2s 60s. Maybe a tad longer exposure for fragile features. Unfortunately the pigment settles too quickly and the objects get gradients.

So... I'm not very DIY type, so I was just curious about a couple of things...

I know I still need the mount printed for the printer, I plan to use the rear mount version I saw posted on this group (my apologies to who posted it and designed it, I just don't remember).

Do I need a 2nd vent tube thing or does the fan connect straight to the mount? Can I use the 1 vent tube and just cut it in half? How hard overall is the installation of the system?

UPDATE: John says he was not really impressed, and shows us what he uses now. So, you may want something a bit larger/different than this one.

If you are looking for a UV lamp, the SUNUV lamps are on Amazon's Deal of the Day: http://3dmkf.com/sunuv

They have a 48W version as well on sale, but it is more than double the price. Not so sure it is needed. These are $17.99
