Flint Read - query re. levelling.
I followed the manual for level and my first prints came out perfect. I was using the green resin supplied with the printer.

I've just tried my first print using Wanhao Grey and it wouldn't attach to the base plate. So I cleaned out the resin vat and thought I'd re-level it to make sure. This time I followed your youtube video, and discovered that it doesn't work for me. The arm holding the base plate hits the lip of the resin vat way before the plate has no movement on the FEB sheet.

I didn't realise right away, I kept hitting the 0.1mm then came to my senses wondering what the funny sound was - it was then I realised what was happening.

anyone else had similar issue? I'll just revert to the sheet of paper method meanwhile.

I just finished my 3rd print. But it ran out of resin. I added more before starting but obviously not enough. I brought it up to the 1/3 bevel line. Is there away to know how much resin is needed for each print when it is sliced. I use Simplify3D for my FDM printer and it tells you exactly how many mm of filament it will consume. If we knew the weight of resin needed I could just weight the tray (after zeroing it out) to get it right. What else do people do for bigger prints?

The pocket-starship USS Equinox has been one of my favorite secondary ship designs on Star Trek. The model printed well, but not perfect. Part was the thin “wings” (pylons) that hold the engine nacelles. They printed well but may not stand up over time. The other is model placement while printing and still getting the bent up duck bill noses.

Hey everyone,
So I am on my fourth attempt at a print today. The first attempt had supports on the build platform, but not my build. The last three attempts have produced nothing. Zero. Nada. There is nothing in the build platform, however, I did take out the resin chamber to adjust the build platform as I noticed it wasn't completely straight when I looked down on it. I saw that there was a small pool formed on the very bottom of of the resin chamber that resembled the raft but it was super thin and my gloved finger couldn't really feel it.

As for my prints, I have adjusted settings to what other members have suggested such as Flint Read which makes me think the issue is me. 3 of the four prints were a small miniature I found on thingiverse while one of the prints was the cube that comes on the flash drive (that was my second attempt). I am at a loss for what I am missing, would really appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction...
