I'm looking to purchase an ultrasonic cleaner. The downside for me personally is that my hearing is quite a bit sensitive to high pitched sounds. Does anyone know of a brand on Amazon that maybe isn't as fierce compared to others?

This is the one I use. It does a good job, and it's very quiet (then again, I'm no longer a teen and can't hear above 20KHz, so YMMV).

I found the ultrasonic to be incredibly underwhelming in terms of results. I ended up unplugging mine and going back to swirling jars lol. But its possible mine was just shit

Alex Clarke hmmmm. I certainly wouldn’t want that. Maybe I should just keep the jars. Are you using IPA? I have a bit, but not sure of enough for this lack of supply

I'm waiting for a chemistry magnetic stirrer to arrive (similar to the clean and cure system. Tried ultrasonic but wasn't too impressed either.
As I only have the Zero a magnetic stirrer and wide metal grid/stand for inside the container to let the cl eaner circulate should be more than enough.
The ultrasonic ones I've seen and used mostly seem to just be a motor with an offset weight vibrating the pan, not an actual ultrasonic doo-dad instead of a 'proper' piezo-electric plate. Not sure if they're all like that.

Rick Graham methyl hydrate. Its a paint thinning agent. Like 1/4th the price and no odor

Alex Clarke I don’t think I’ve heard of anyone using that

Ive been plugging it for months but half this group is dense and they keep claiming Mr Clean is a solvent. Lol

Michael Alexander Caddick that’s what I use and it’s way better than ultrasonics. Way less noise, Any size container, drop a pill into the resin and stir that without adding air, the list goes on

Hey guys,
What happens if there is uncured resin left in a hollow model that can’t drain? Does this lead to cracking in the model?

I'm doing some research to compare the Photon (which I love) to the Zorktrax Inkspire. For those who may have one, how do the two compare to one another?

Hey everyone,
So I need some help wrapping my head around something in regards to scaling. My goal is to design a mech mini that is set in the 12mm scale. To add to the confusion I will be using feet as a measurement then converting it to mm (Yes, I’m from the U.S.)

Scale: 12mm
Average human in-game: 6’ or 12mm
Mech height: 24’ or 48mm (4 times the height of the human used for scale)

Is this correct to be a "true" 12mm scale, or am I totally missing something? I have been attempting to do research to grasp how other games determine the height of their minis. I could only conclude that first you need a standard to measure everything else by. In this case I was basing everything off the average human height would be 12mm and then multiplied from there.

Thanks in advance!

What setting do I need to adjust to have a larger platform for the initial levels of a print?

Hey everyone,
Haven’t printed in a while and sadly got these results. Any guidance? Was printing five figures. The two on the right that mostly made it were an identical mini that I duplicated. One of their legs didn’t print even though they were the same supports and everything originally. Still having trouble getting this machine dialed up correctly :(

Hey guys I need some help. Any idea why my prints are peeling from the build platform? I have several mechs that came out with the back side of the base peeling away.

First time printing with monocure rapid gray. What happened to this print? The feet and one elbow look like the layers are falling off. Rest looks pretty good so I'm confused

Hey guys, still dealing with frustration with this printer. Please see the photo below...

So I printed both of these legs for a miniature. The legs are the same file printed at the same time with the same settings. The only thing different is the angle of the print. Is supports what keeps screwing up my prints? I am really getting overwhelmed with this :(

The one laying down also has an issue with its ankles, but again, not sure if that is due to supports...

Hopefully today is the day I finally get my printer working properly. With my work schedule and all kinds of other stuff I have never fully gotten my printer working. I have made a big list of potential issues causing my printer to fail to print and am slowly working down the list to figure out my problem so I can catch up to some of you printing such awesome stuff.

UPDATE: Print failed...
Clean the machine - Done
Level the build plate per Flint's method - Done
Level the actual machine - Done
Check settings to optimum levels - Done
Power source swap -
Shake resin before printing - Done
Replace flash drive - Done...but Idk if this helped
Change resin to other brand -
FEP change -
Files have proper supports - Done
UV Test - See below post, everything looks good to me

I so badly want this printer to finally work. It wasn't cheap lol
