Printing a functional model for a project @work M6 screw with a tapped M4 head with a housing for a magnet on one of the sides. Custom supports so far is printing ok, i'll post back when i have more results

UPDATE. Print Finished ok, no residues on the FEP that is always a good sign, almost 4 hours printing now i'm letting it dripout the excess resin before the Rubbing alcohool wash :)

FINAL UPDATE:

The print came out good the supports helped with a controlled shrink in post cure, because where i slightly detached the part from the supports when removing the shape bent with the cure process.

The support came was easy to break where i rolled it and chipped into the part when i tried to pull in the first piece.

The overall dimensions are good but the M6 threading is not perfect almost feels like it expanded a bit, i say it is either overexposure or simply just the nature of the process. I have to remind miself to do a small compensation before printing.

Overall the result is very satisfactory, the internal thread is ok but i messed up and made a M4 instead of a M3 :P

Hopefully i can fix that with the screw a bit of resin and some UV :)

Alright, so continuing to learn from my failed first attempt.

I am using Anycubic Green and these are my settings that I have adjusted after speaking with a different user here in the group. Does anyone see anything that is wrong before I start to print?

OMG this made me laugh so hard. 4 bottles of 500ml resin on Anycubic site for $1,000 US????? I want whatever they are smoking. But hey...no tax, AND has free shipping! :)

My solution for keeping light away from my printing area lol. Will be installing a range hood to the right and venting out the top window.

Ok, now that my initial frustration has abated, I am looking to fire up the Photon again.

Using the AnyCubic resin, can someone tell me the best settings? I have experienced so many warped and sloppy looking prints, as they get larger. My small prints were good though.

Much appreciated, as I really want to love this machine :)

So settings, support profiles/suggestions, etc.

Thanks for the add. Got my printer Sunday and just did my first print. Results were mixed. I may need some help at some point ? but for now I'm off to experiment some more.

For fellow # photonnewbies here is how I set my ventilation system up.

Items needed:
9/64 drill bit for screw holes
Utility knife
Drill
7/32 drill bit for vent holes
Safety glasses
Marker
4" eave vent
Non-glare picture glazing...but any old plexiglass should work
Loctite power grab...to attach plexiglass and eave vent together
Roll of foil tape
Fan
4" 8 foot duct
4" charcoal filter

I can do a step by step if it will help anyone, but these are the items I used and I am now doing my first print. I kicked the fan up to high to test and for now my wife and I do not smell anything from the printer.
