Guys when you snip off your supports, do you find sometimes the support take a small piece out of the model? Then you have this small indent. What the solution to this?

So what’s the rule of thumb to know when to hollow a model and when not too? I’m printing a solid model right now and wondering if maybe I should have hollowed it first. I’ll let it print through and cross my fingers, but for future reference..

Some of you have followed my post on printing the USS Aries, and the problem of having the front of the saucer section warp upwards during print. I can confirm that submerging part of your model into hot boiling water for a few seconds can soften the resin enough for you to do some minor reshaping. Are used a very bad print from a cheaper DLP printer to test this. If you’re not careful, parts will break off! But I was able to soften the resin enough that gentle finger pressure could cause the saucer section toward in the opposite direction. You have to hold it as the resin recools. Careful application of this technique should restore a warped piece back to the shape that you desire.

Oops, something is missing. Does anyone know why this is happening? Printed on FTD IB Black resin 0.04, 11, 1, 80, 8. Medium supports added in B9Creator. By the way, did anyone try to print at 0.05 for the FTD IB Black?
