first print with 3Dokay white resin. Same model, same supports created in b9. First time creating supports with b9. Medium supports on the outside and light supports on the inside. I used the settings for gray on the spreadsheet. I am not complaining, but just wondering what could have caused it.

Well finally got to unbox and setup the printer and couldn't get the allen head screw out, it wouldn't come out with the round end of the allen wrench supplied till I figured out it is stripped out or the allen head screws past the end of the threads in the block and doesn't tighten the plate. finally got it out holding the plate upside down and gently turning the allen wrench till it caught good threads. guess I need a longer allen head screw. I see no other way to tighten the plate otherwise. Guess I won't be printing yet.

Here is my review of the photon for anyone interested ? The Photon was my first Resin based 3D printer. I ordered it on Amazon on January 24th and it came the 26th. The printer arrived basically completely assembled all I had to put on was the knob for the door. It came with all needed tools for assembly and all the things required when you use resin and even a nice bottle of green resin which is beautiful. The Photon is absolutely beautiful in my option. It was leveled and ready to go in 10 minutes max and when setting it up the pictures and instructions in the included manual were very good and the only source I used for leveling and slicing instructions. The only errors I have had are my fault and not even relevant to the photon as much as resin printing in general. The printer was super easy to level and hasn’t had to been leveled since I started. The test print looked better than the example in the book. It is an excellent looking test print too! The Photon is my favorite printer out of the 4 different 3D printers I own. It’s the most reliable and makes the most beautiful prints. I highly recommend it to everyone both beginner and advanced. If you ever need help Anycubic’s awesome support team is very helpful and so are the Anycubic Photon users groups on Facebook. Alice Yu from Anycubic is always on and helping. Dylan Zhang was very patient and kind when helping me with the Photon and sending me the Mac beta software. Anycubic is the best company I have ever interacted with, and the Photon is by far my favorite printer!

Hey guys! What FDM printer for around $400 would you recommend? I recently got an Anycubic i3 Mega to stay in the Anycubic family after I got my Photon. I was able to get a few good prints out of it (test Owls, Benchie, a few Pokemon), and but now I can't get a thing to print; I cannot level this bed on all four corners.

I've spent more time trying to get my Mega to work than I have on post-print cleanup with my Photon. Any suggestions?

Finallly ordered my photon, should get it here by next Wednesday or earlier. Hopefully earlier! I'm like a kid at xmas time. LOL :D

My Photon finally arrived today!! I went through the setup for leveling the print surface and started the print of the PHOTON.photon test print file. I heard the popping sound for the first few base layers (the layers that had a long exposure time) but now that it's moved to the layers with a shorter exposure I haven't heard any sound other than the Z axis drive motor. I'm hoping everything is working ok ?

I guess I'll know i n a few hours. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Printed in Anycubic white resin, cure it, spray some alcohol on the model, paint it with black resin, cure again....
Turn out nice, better contract and bring out the features.
